With the way RPI is set up this year, you won’t get the best matchups in the Finals it doesn’t look like. 6A is headed for a ST X vs Trinity turkey day battle. 1A is looking like a Pikeville vs Raceland semi-final. 
 

It’s really hard to call for 4A and 5A, even harder for 5A probably. I also think 1A has gotten more interesting. I believe Beechwood wins 2A, CAL wins 3A, and Trinity wins 6A. 1A looked before like it was a two team race between Pikeville and Raceland, but I think Campbellsville and KCD are capable. 1A definitely got more interesting near the end of regular season. I believe Highlands is playing the best in 4A right now, but a lot of talent is in this class and others could win without a surprise. 5A is still most up in the air to me, but I believe Scott County is playing the best right now. Championship weekend should be fun, as well as the rest of the way until then.

If Highlands goes to the state championship game there is a decent chance I’m going to go. If it is Highlands vs Cov Cath in the final I am 100% going.

The way the RPI is shaking out, these two could only meet in the finals if Somerset knocks off Owensboro Catholic this week.  I hope you are right

There’s a belief that two teams in the same district should face each other before the state finals. 
the RPI has eliminated actual Regional final contests. The 3rd round should not be called a Regional final. 
I do hope they CCH and HHS face each other in the state finals..

NKY dominating in any class is fine with me. 

If I looked at it correctly, then the Semi's would match up like this:

A - Raceland would host Pikeville and KCD would host Campbellsville

2A - OC would host Beechwood and LCA would host Belfry

3A - CAL will host either Bell or LC and Lloyd Memorial will host either Murray or Bell

4A - If Boyle wins, they will host Highlands, and Franklin County will host PT. IF Cov Cath wins, they will go to Franklin County and Highlands would host PT 

5A - Pulaski will host winner of BG/Atherton and Owensboro will host the winner of Woodford/Scott

6A - South Warren will host winner of FD/Ryle and X will host T.

From there I think it's the following:

A - Pikeville vs Campbellsville with Pikeville winning.

2A Beechwood vs Belfry with Beechwood winning.

3A CAL vs Murray with CAL winning.

4A Highlands vs PT with PT winning

5A Pulaski vs Owensboro with Pulaski winning

6A South Warren vs X with South Warren ending Kevin Wallace's storied career.
