Final. It was not as close as the final. One of the ugliest Kentucky games in awhile maybe the worse of Pope’s tenure.

That was a masterpiece by Michigan State. Discipline, determination, execution, effort on every little fundamental thing in the game by whatever five guys they put on the floor. I'm going to have to watch that game again. It was such a thing of beauty by Michigan State.

Michigan State looked very good what I watched. I believe their chances of making the Final Four are strong if they stay healthy and continue playing how they can.

Cats drop to #11 after this game but still ahead of Michigan St.

The loses by the Cats don’t have everyone rushing on here to post like normal. This one was ugly. Matt Jones just tweeted how we been down by 15 or more quite a bit over the last two years. Luckily they came back to win a couple of them last year. However, the Pope era while refreshing with his new approach to things. Definitely hasn’t been to great either, and I truly do hope he can get this fixed. 
 

Also we UK fans have been very unlucky these last 6 to 7 years. As injuries have played a big role it seems like almost every year during this time frame. 

Very early in the season and two starters out, shot selection was not very good with guys firing shots that shouldn’t be, Garrison is a detriment while on the floor and other bigs are playing soft, lots of improvement has to happen but still early on.

The simplest way to explain that game last night is Michigan State's defense made everything hard for UK and UK's defense made everything easy for Michigan State. And it pretty much came down to execution of properly setting and using a pick, and defending and fighting through a pick.

Too soft is the key word.

Pope’s post game interview was quite impressive as he took the blame himself and didn’t throw players under the bus as our previous coach had done many times.

State outplayed and out coached the Cats from top to bottom, UK has some injuries and they will bounce back. Still only November.

Listening to Matt Jones he really feels like these are good guys and actually stated the only guy that can be an issue that he has been told or has observed is Lowe.
