The gist of it was that the press conference was bizarre, and based on the remarks, the team was not motivated last night, and that, generally speaking, they do not like one another. Mid-season blues at the 10% point of the season is generally not a good thing.

And we all know who could fix that team chemistry and get the players to like each other ...

I knew what play it was going to be before I opened it up. I was fuming on this one. Total lack of effort by Garrison.

Another issue is the Cats fallling behind double digits in the first half quite frequently, going back to last season. The defense is what it is as it was last year.

Never once said UK is falling apart. However,  a lot of times a team may have a "career" day or shoot better than normally. When they play a team that struggles to guard, and makes it easier for a team to shoot better. Which seemed to happen a lot last year too. Last year the common thought for that was because, the Cat's weren't really that athletic. This year though they are supposed to be very athletic, yet still seeing same issues. With that said, no doubt it is still early in the season. So coach Pope has time to fix it, but currently we are seeing similar issues as we saw last year. Which teams having a career day against the Cats, is also on the Cats for allowing it, which we have now seen twice in a week against teams that aren't supposed to shoot well.

Correct, that is starting to become a common issue. Luckily they were able to come back and win a few of those games last year, but unfortunately it is starting to become a trend. Which it is hard to consistently have to always come back from double digits. 

As far as the defense goes one example is last year the second win against Tennessee was bc The Vols missed like 70% of their open shots.

Because right now those teams are better than UK. As the season progresses UK has the possibility to become extremely strong, but you never know. My contention has always been that you win with the RIGHT people, not always the BEST people. U of L and MSU have very good coaches and players. Their wins over UK were certainly no fluke.

Like the late Herb Brooks said when choosing the roster for his 1980 Olympic team, "I'm not looking for the best players, I'm looking for the right ones".
