Still terrible outside shooting team. Not sure how the win if they settle for outside instead of attacking the rim and getting to the charity stripe.

ESPN app foggy then stopped working. Wafting it via YouTube with the ESPN call with Bilas. I don’t understand how in need to pay for espn app to watch football on abc then use YT for the cats

I’ll say they’re considered a basketball or Track and Field school. To their credit they’ve only had football the last 20 years or less? They have an awesome outdoor facilty and Central to Southern Campbell Co is booming with new subdivisions and “how many car washes do we need on US 27?”!!! Not many schools hop into continued success in sports right away. Brossart has a slow and steady build history but this game Friday could go a long way for the football program.

Bivens and Sandfoss didn’t play summer ball but Messmer and Stevie played the whole time. It will be nice to get some beef down low, and overall physicality level should be fine game to game. It’s how you use that aggression positively which will be the key.

You can see all the paid advertisements hanging around the Cecil Memorial Stadium, I’d imagine those same people would help to sponsor a high quality broadcast as well. The question is “Do we want to sacrifice the students doing these games to go with adults who do a better job?”. If I was going to pay for a broadcast I’d want one like Boyle Co put on. Back to the game, Highlands wins comfortably unless they decide to get cute and turn the ball over.

Boyle had a very high quality student broadcast for the playoff game last year against CovCath, did they charge to watch live? I caught it the next day.

If Oweh isn’t playing I don’t see how the cats can win with how terrible they shoot from outside. Inhave the ESPN app but it is constantly refreshing or just stops working. May have to just listen to this one.

Guy at work has been a season ticket holder since Paul Brown opened. He got pretty heated with me yesterday when I said the only the way they make the playoffs is to win the division. He said I was wrong, and I replied with "Then what is the point of winning the division or having divisions". He said it was strictly for seeding purposes. He also stated a few weeks ago that in the NFL you HAVE to have 4 players off the ball on every offensive plays.

Were you hoping that they didn't play from a competition stand point? 9th region sports said that Sandfoss and Bivens are also playing basketball, I have zero clue how good either will be.

Down year for Lakota West but a huge game this week with GCL rival St X at the University of Daytons Welcome Stadium. I was told it was the Moeller ADs choice to play this game there, no clue if they inquired about another location.

I just feel like Newport gets this one. I mean they turned the ball over to NewCath 5 times, that’s unreal, and still kept it competitive. I’m not sold on the strength of schedule of Holy Cross to say they’re heads and shoulders above Newport.

Another angle on the game is that the teams are potentially playing to help increase their enrollment numbers, granted not by a lot. If you live in the middle of the county and you want to play football at a catholic school in Campbell co which one would you choose? Plenty of former Breds who grew up in southern Campbell co and now reside there and kids go to Brossart, this maybe a game for the kids that are on the fence.

Had login issues since last week. Guru helped a brother out. Apparently my old login email doesn’t work anymore. It’s the playoffs and I don’t want to come across as super confident because that’s not my style, but if NewCath doesn’t cruise to a win I’ll be very surprised. Last year the Breds were so ate up with putting a running clock on Brossart that it hurt their performance in my opinion. The Breds running game has been on point since the Conner matchup, it was in the first half of the Raceland game as well. There are still some chemistry issues between the QB and WRs but that shouldn’t matter in this one. Bivens has been running like a scalded and aggressive dog all year and is a wrecking ball against 1A competition. It’ll be a pretty crowded game Friday, good luck to both teams.

Personally I believe the NewCath vs Mason Co game is going to be close. 4A school”only” lost to Highlands 42-6. Needs to be a clean game for the Breds to win in my opinion.

Forgot they played tonight. Seems like they’ve played non-stop since Monday. Go Birds

I’d be playing this game tonight for sure. A decent amount of Thursday games tomorrow due to Halloween on Friday. I don’t recall, I didn’t have kids, school moving games to the Thursday before Halloween when it fell on a Friday. Highlands freshmen program is on a tear the last 3 years, they win easily in this one.

I have an issue with teams finishing under .500 not making the playoffs. We went 3-7 my senior year. Played a very tough schedule for a 1A school. We finished third in the districts then went down to #2 Berea and beat the brakes off them. My freshmen year we were 5-5 finished 4th in the districts then beat #1 Raceland 48-8. Teams worrying about just finishing above .500 will just schedule “weaker teams” and make each week boring.

Dan Mullen got canned bc of his losses to Ky as much as anything else. I agree he’d be a solid hire due to his offensive acumen. As well as 9068 said there are a ton of big time openings that the up and comers maybe eyeing more than UK. Whoever it is I hope they take the Stoops desire and intensity and work on time management, discipline on the field (coaches and players), and not going off of analytics and just read the situation for what it is I.e. Georgia last year and Texas in OT this year.
