Is Newport Central Catholic open?

From what I'm told, Coach Lickert's job as principal at Withrow High School in Cincinnati is going to prevent him from keeping his job as football coach at NCC.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

Word on the street was he was In this position over the summer and NewCath more or less said he had to wait until after the season and Withrow agreed just for this football season. I understand it, you get a chance at being a principal of a school like Withrow you’ll be lucky to have any family time let alone be able to be a head coach. This is all 3rd hand do anyone with more concrete wording please jump in. Given his principal duties I feel like he has done a very good job as HC this year.

I have heard this rumor all season. From some pretty reliable sources.

Source Close to Coach Lickert and Newcath Admin tell me at 7:39 on Wednesday November 19th that this is a false "RUMOR" despite the wishful thinking of a few Bleacher Creatures.

Steve Lickert is a good thing for the NewCath football program and I'd debate all day long with anyone who tried to claim otherwise. However, although I don't imagine it's ever really a contractual requirement for a principal to be present at specific events, I couldn't tell you the last time that I went to a high school football game when either of the teams was playing without their principal in attendance. The idea of a high school principal never planning on going to their school's football games is a head scratcher.

Will this still be a false "RUMOR" once the 2025 football season is over at NCC though? Lickert is obviously still coaching there at 7:29 on Wednesday November 19th because NCC has a game at Campbellsville at 7:00 on Friday November 21st. But will Lickert be gone once the football season is over?

I am told he's the guy as long as he wants to be the guy! Without giving away too much personal information there has been a development in which he would be invested deeply for at least the immediate future past this year.

I don’t recall Mr Foster being at all our home games. If he was I do apologize.

Terry Brown will be the next coach.

If I was Lickert I sure would like to break in that new stadium some.

They are young, I know that. I don't know of all of them. But elementary school is in there.
