Well the perfect weather for football season comes to an end Night across much of the Commonwealth as rain will be falling for the majority of games, as of now. NewCath has been a running team all year, and why not when you have a back like Eddie Bivens. Give him the ball 5 times or 50 times and he is going to run as hard as possible on every carry. The passing game has shown flashes of being exceptional all year, but the ground is the where the Breds will be concentrating on, especially since Miles doesn't mind tucking and running.

I am a stat guy. I don't obsess like an old time baseball writer over numbers, but it is cool to go back and figure out how many yards per carry etc. If it's demanded by the governing body then it should be done that way if you're a participating memeber.

Unreal comeback.

The game was not in doubt after the Breds went up 14-0. The biggest issue was throwing the ball up 35-7 in the second half and not completing the passes. The Breds had 3 straight possessions that ran 40 seconds or less off the clock. It’s the playoffs, keep the clock running and move on. Brossart seemed hell bent on taking the pass away which led to Bivens having a more than Al Bundy game once again. They held tough but it wasn’t meant to be tonight.

My freshman and Sophomore years we took the Blue Goose to all our travel games. Owen, Carrol, and Paris. Junior year we got charters for the Death Valley Bowl, at Bourbon Co and at Paintsville. Senior year we had Charters for at Harrodsburg and at Berea. We usually just had pizza after the games. We did stop for lunch on the way to Lincoln Co, at Texas Roadhouse or something like that. After the Harrodsburg game I remember sitting against a chain linked fence eating pizza and a girl asking where we were from. I said Campbell Co and she asked "Like Campbellsville?". Ha ha She had no clue where Campbell Co was and I had never heard of Campbellsville that night. The coolest ride was when we went to Berea for the first round of the playoffs. Mr. Schneider had pulled up the post game interview from Berea's final regular season and they had clinched home field advantage in the playoffs for the first time ever. He blasted it over the speakers and we just listened, not a word spoken, as their head coach was just bragging on his team (as he should've been) and how good they had been all season. None of the coaches or players had to say a word. We were extremely prepared for them that night, one of the best weeks of practice we had all year. Talk about a fun 2hr ride home. And yes we were back at school Saturday morning at 8am to lift, run and watch film.

I was told a couple weeks ago it was his back. I understood it wasn’t to serious.

The fact that Kentucky couldn’t keep themselves in the game from the free throw line is a joke. Mark Pope a disciple of the hard core Rick Pitino days, and his guys can’t be clutch at the line? Unacceptable.

Deep shooting woes have followed the Cats into the regular season. We’d be all over Cal if he kept letting his guys shoot from deep. Pope needs to go inside out for a while.
