To me, this is sad.  Not picking on PRP, on purpose, but I saw this annotation in red below the stats on the scoreboard and thought it was wrong.

Yes. The KHSAA requires submission of stats after each game. If a school does not do so, the ball is in the court of the KHSAA to do something about it.

If it's required, then I would like to see the KHSAA enforce it.  It's sad for the players that may be competing for scholarships or that may want to play college football and coaches can't see player stats.

Feel free to go to KHSAA.org. Their website shows contact info for the KHSAA staff members. Voice your complaint to the folks who have the responsibility to enforce the rules.

What I’m about to say is in noway throwing stones nor defending it being week 12 and a half a year of stats not being recorded/missed.

However, in 20+ years of coaching, half of that as a head coach + having kids get RECRUITED and SIGNED by literally EVERY level(s) of college football? 
 

Not ONCE & I mean NOT ONCE did a single college coach, from any level, ever ask “What are their game/season stats?”  Not once. And they never will, not to me, nor any other coach. That’s not exactly something that parents and kids want to hear, but nor are most hard truths.

The “stats” they care about aren’t on that list.

There are others, like those of us in the Media Sector, doing radio broadcasts, and writing game previews, or newspaper articles, who use those stats.  I like to post them on our athletics website, so the players can have a look at how the game was played out..

PRIDE is more than just a name on the front of a T-Shirt.  Keeping your stats and rosters updated should be a matter of PRIDE in representing your school in a first-class manner.  Your Athletic Director should be keeping watch, before someone outside of your program has to go to the KHSAA on you.

Did you see what I was responding to? The original question? It was about “recruiting” “potential scholarships”. To which I THEN tied in the extra about players and parents not exactly wanting to hear that, because, well…they’re kinda tied to that whole recruiting deal & many times “don’t know what they don’t know.”

Somebody needs to get out of their feelings.

I was simply expanding on your post.  No animosity of any sort intended.

Whoever made that schedule for PRP is probably the same person responsible for putting in stats. This is easily the most difficult schedule in the state. Other than setting kids up to fail, what would be the purpose of a perrenially bad team playing this schedule?

I believe that. I get an itch to stat chase some times and it comes up empty depending how far I am trying to go back. Was just wondering if you had a clue as to when it was actually made a requirement. I do think it's something that should be mandated just because I like looking them up lol.
