I think Danville could surprise some people in the playoffs. Physical and fast. #14 Brown is one of fastest dudes I’ve seen in HS football to this day. He’s smart and does not go down on initial contact.

Reading the watchlist post and the conversation about stats got me to thinking about past winners and where are they now? Did they make a significant impact on the next level? Did they even play next level? Example, is Cam Hergott getting reps at EKU this year? Will Isaac Dixon ever see the field at UK?

So as in not anywhere near as good or they are that much better? That 2020 team came to Lex and got run clocked in the playoffs.

How does this Metcalfe team compare to the 2020 team?

Both Mercer and Belfry lost which Friday night which was a lost opportunity for LCA to gain some ground. LCA plays Danville next week and then finishes with 6A Henry Clay. Henry Clay has already won more games then I thought they would which is great for LCA. The biggest factor for LCA other than RPI is getting healthy and staying healthy. I don't think they care where they have to travel to.

I think WC is a top 5 team in 5A. However, they still don't have a quality win on their schedule. The win at Franklin Co would have been more impressive if Moorman had played. They make it to the 3rd round easily before things get significantly harder for them.

They keep enrollment low to keep the student to teacher ratio manageable in order foster a good learning environment. The K-5 is at max capacity and there is a waiting list for middle school. Could they bring more kids into the HS? Possibly but it has zero to do with a 2A classification. Have you seen their football schedule the last few years? They had the overall top RPI in all classifications in 20 and 21. Last year they beat the 1A state champs and the 4A state champs. Beat a 6A final four team and the number 1 team in 3A. Coach Charles does all this with 50 or less kids, could you imagine if he had 80-100 on his HS roster. I do think you could see Belfry drop to 2A which will have an immediate impact.

LCA is good to go.

I think the top 4 look accurate and will probably hold true with a possible flip flop in 3 and 4 when it is all settled.

We've seen this movie a dozen times and we all know how it ends. Just like we know that despite the new Halloween movie is titled Halloween Ends we all know Michael Myers will live. BC is too physical upfront and that will be the difference in the game.

I think there may be a chance for OC since Mayfield's opponent record is terrible. I predicted a 39-61 overall earlier this year.

Boley 20-33 for 380 5 TD 1 Int + 1 rush TD. That puts him right at or over 2000 yards on the season even after missing a game and half. LCA scores 42 points in the 2nd qtr

LCA finds the win column tonight even after a sluggish 1st qtr start. Boley goes for close to 400 as the states leading QB. Still too many dropped balls, missed tackles and missed assignments. It was 42-14 at the half. Another huge game by WR Parker Chaney as well.

Similar to LCA, Madison Central has suffered from the injury bug this year. When your starting running back who led 6A last year, your starting H back and starting WR are out it’s tough to assemble anything even being 6A. Plus those 3 guys play D too. Nothing against Pikeville, this is their year but a healthy MC or LCA gives Pikeville all they want. Knowing Pikeville I’m sure they would rather play those teams at full strength as well.

A healthy LCA is not a team you want visiting your stadium in November.

CAL is good folks. Well coached and make very few mistakes. Not sure who competes with them in 3A.
