  1. I'm with you @BadaBing . I think Caldwell is down also. The Murray/Mayfield match up is going to be interesting. Mayfield will definitely be the favorite considering what they have returning vs the Murray squad. Mayfield has the same exact squad from last year with the addition of a healthy Jax Rorgers who is a tremendous addition at LB and good short yardage back in their wishbone set that has been reintroduced in their offense. The Qb play will be the deciding factor and from what I have seen so far, I don't see them getting over either of the top two teams. Murray has been stingy on with their run defense but has been suspect (at best) through the air. They are still trying to learn and get comfortable with their new defense coach Bowling has introduced. Their offense has looked better each time out. They are making progress and have looked more and more efficient each time out. Murray has struggled this year with injuries and quarantined players. They have yet played a game at full strength and it looks to continue at least until the Caldwell game. For the Tigers to even compete for the district title, they will need all hands on deck.
  2. Thanks for the info @Tigerallamerican. I will trust your math over mine right now ? This will be an interesting race if all three teams run the table.
  3. This would be a marquee match up! I hope it happens. But, is LCA smart to risk losing RPI points in case of a loss?
  4. Just saw through the list serv. LCA is now looking for a game for this Friday. They were supposed to play Belfry. Can anyone confirm? Johnson Central's phone should be ringing ?
  5. 5- Cov Cath 3- LCA 3- Male 1- Franklin Co 1- Paris 1- Bethlehem 1- Trinity 1- Graves County 1- Elizabethtown 1- Daviess County TB- 52
  6. I like this explosive offense from PT. They have speed and are able to make plays on the edges. I don't, however, think they can sustain long drives and punch it in on a consistent basis. Their defense has been a bit suspect at times. T Mayfield's strength, thus far this season, is their defense. They seem to pride themselves in keeping the opponent out of the end zone. Hoptown is also a team with explosive receivers and we saw how that turned out. I know the streak will come to an end one of these days... I just don't think it's this year. Mayfield 35 PT 21
  7. This is the premier matchup in 4A. Yes, Corbin is the one team in the top 4A tier with the most to prove. I do think they have the horses for a deep playoff push... I just think the Flyers are clicking at a faster rate right now. FC 28 Corbin 14
  8. 1. This is in addition to their radio broadcast. The home team is the NFHS partner. From what I know, if a school has their own broadcast, it doesn't partner with NFHS. 2. Your subscription covers a national broadcast. You can look up any participating school around the country, watch live video or on demand games for multiple sports. 3. Yes, you can look up the home team and you can re-watch the game under the on-demand tab (included with subscription). 4. I believe the charge is $10.99/month 5. Quality/reliability relies on the streaming capabilities of the home team. This is a toss up! I have watched games with excellent video and vice versa. I usually pay a month here/there and watch sports from the Houston area that I grew up/played in. Usually Nov/Dec for football and March for basketball ?
  9. Eastern found and played a competitive game. It's demoralizing for the kids to always get beat with running clock. I think it's a win win for both. It's competitive for Eastern and may end up winning. For the small school it's great RPI points.
  10. I agree heat has been intense this week.
  11. Practice after 5:30 when the heat index is coming down. Start w/o equipment and add according to heat. Still monitor frequent breaks.
  12. Week 2 has some impressive games around the state. This game is no exception. Wouldn't mind watching this Sat morning during my coffee hour. Will this be televised/youtube/nfhs? I have this too close to call. LCA is stacked on paper but Boyle is.... Boyle!
  13. 5- Russell 3- Beechwood 3- South Warren 1- Lincoln County 1- LCA 1- Trinity 1- North Harding 1- Daviess County 1- John Harding 1- Williamsburg
  14. My understanding that was a scrimmage. Tssaasports has them at 0-1 https://tssaasports.com/sports/schedules/index.cfm?sport=football&schoolid=223&schoolYear=2021
  15. Hendersonville did not impress last week. Played Oakland and got thumped 42-7. I would hate to start the season with the best in TN and now one of the best in KY ?. I will predict an 0-2 start for the Commandos. I'll take South by three touchdowns.
  16. Franklin Co could maybe also beat Dixie. They made a statement this week!
  17. South Warren could give Male a run for their $$... I still think Male is overall a better team but South is no joke this year. Station is a solid team IMO
  18. 4A will be fun to watch come post season! Second deepest class IMO
  19. Clearly the two favorites. Still wonder if any of the two stumble and they have to travel to War Memorial in November... Beechwood knows all to well about those trips. If I can remember correctly, they've never won down here. Again, I agree: LCA and Beechwood are the top of 2A. I have just seen a bunch of Cardinal magic in recent past.
  20. Not sure if they will sell tickets at the gate. Best bet is to get your tix through gofan.co Just look up McCracken County, it's on the schedule.
  21. The Mustangs are going to have a hard time moving the ball. One of the best defenses in the state will be in town. BG 28 McCracken 7
  22. Cardinals in a not so close manner. I like this defense and it can grow into another one of those special defenses Mayfield has had in the past. #53 Demarco Gammons (Soph) is going to be a problem for many! He has a huge reach and can grow to be one of the best DL Mayfield has had in a very long time. #8 Jax Rogers (Jr) is a beast!! Good to see him healthy. If he plays anywhere near where he was two years ago, he will run sideline to sideline. #4 Kylan Galbreath (Sr) small in stature but does not mind to come down and fill gaps! Hybrid player can cover and come support the LB group. Very smart and durable player with a nose to the ball. #2 Daniel Coles (Jr) the leader of the secondary. Coles is a solid cover safety that is always dangerous with 50/50 balls. No disrespect to Hoptown, I just think this year's Mayfield team is out to prove they still reign in Western KY Mayfield 35 Hoptown 14
  23. Congrats to the Tornadoes!! Saw them at the scrimmage last week and I was surprised how much they improved in a week. They match up well vs Graves. Game could go either way. Again, great start for the new coaching staff.
  24. How will RPI compute these games/forfeits?
