  1. He should be back soon, possibly Friday at Rowan.
  2. Makes watching at home fun. He does an amazing job.
  3. Cov Cath Highlands St Henry Beechwood. And yes, I know the irony that both teams beat Highlands, but the birds have better wins and no bad losses.
  4. Correct, weather pending....
  5. After a lengthy weather delay Highlands traveled to Turkeyfoot last night. Highlands was victorious in all 3 games. Good one tonight, weather permitting, as Campbell travels to Highlands.
  6. Highlands has wins over Ashland (top 15 team), Oldham County (top 15 team), and a very good Dixie Heights team. I'd say they are solidly in the 12-17 range. Yes, lost by 2 to St. Henry and a close one to Beechwood, but top 15 is fair.
  7. The Birds are entertaining. They have a legit D1 signee in Sam Vinson, a near triple double average, and surround him with shooters everywhere. They are fun offensively.
  8. If 2 of the 3 shooters are hitting, along with Vinson getting his averages, I say Birds by 8-12. if you look at the Birds scores, when they get consistent shooting, they put up some points,. Now, they also may give up some points.....
  9. I heard Mr. Vinson had a nasty and 1 dunk. Anyone have video?!?
  10. The Gray group is impressive that is for sure. If memory serves for 8th Campbell County and Highlands should be front runners. I am not too familiar with many of the Boone County schools at this grade. Not sure of many individual players but Hank Schick and Jackson Arnold for Highlands 8th are names to remember.
  11. Any observations or early season thoughts? I’m sure not many games have been played. 6th? 7th? 8th? Favorites? Players to watch?
  12. Both teams have played a brutal schedule so far this year. I believe Highlands has played 5 teams currently in the top 15 in the state! Both will continue to improve and a regional matchup could be another fun game. After watching Highlands in every game this year I feel the complementary pieces to Vinson lack the grit of last years seniors. Ahfeld, Delegrange, and Brass (before he got injured) really added a level of toughness to this group. The “others”, to quote Shaq, this year are more skilled but may be missing this dimension. More games = more growth. Go Birds!
  13. 6th. But yes, he slings it.
  14. It’s fun, kids and fans love it, but from a logistics and equipment issue....having 30-40 dunks every warmup would wreck havoc on some high school rims and back boards. I think that is part of the reason for the rule.
  15. I believe it is a 2 game suspension.
  16. I got HHS at around 2-15 from 3, unofficial from my couch. Have to turn a few down and get paint touches or this may continue to get out of hand.
  17. Of course... Lots of interesting events happened in that middle school gym down south.
  18. Haven’t seen any Highlands parents, AD’s, or coaches ejected yet, can’t be Sharp.
  19. The Highlands coaching search ripple strikes again....
  20. I’ve seen a lot of basketball, never have seen a game end like that....
  21. Highlands (unofficial) Herald 15pts 8 reb Cooker 5 pts 4 reb Vinson 30 pts 11 reb Mueller 9 pts 7 reb Barth 12 pts Harris 11pts 6 reb Reed 2 pts Again, unoffical stats, and I do not have assist totals.
  22. Birds can score. If you play up tempo with them, they got you. Gonna be a tough out this year.
