Big matchup today @ Lexington Catholic - tip (well toss) at 3:30

Two of the better guards in the state going at it today, Johnson and Vinson.  I'll go with HHS in a close one.

Highlands in a good one. Birds and Sam Vinson will have to step up their game defensively if they want to win this one. Ultimately though, I believe Sam and his shooters will be to much for Lex Cath to handle. 

This should be a good one for sure. I’ll be rooting for Highlands and believe that they have what it takes to keep LexCath on their toes, but for starters Ben Johnson is just stupid good. He’s the kind of player that every team would love to have, and a player that every team that doesn’t despises for being so relentlessly awesome. He will beat you, and beat you, and beat you some more. His basketball instincts and I.Q. are off the charts. His supporting cast isn’t too shabby either with their length and ability to get to the basket. Highlands will have to prove that they can beat LC’s smothering press. Like I said I’ll be rooting for Highlands, and no doubt Vinson is a show all his own too, but I fear that LexCath will better them by about 8 points.

So far they've held Vinson to 0 points.

LexCath 35 Highlands 20

So far Johnson has 11, Vinson has 10

Lex Cath up 35-20 at half. Birds aren’t shooting well, and continue to look uninterested in defending.

Lots of interesting events happened in that  middle school gym down south.

I got HHS at around 2-15 from 3, unofficial from my couch.  Have to turn a few down and get paint touches or this may continue to get out of hand.

Little run and momentum by the Birds 45-34 after down close to 20. Timeout Lex Cath. 2:44 left in 3rd.
