Highlands 82 Newport Central Catholic 60

The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds took a short ride over to Ft. Thomas tonight to take on the Highlands Bluebirds in an important 36th District seeding game, as well as just a longtime bragging rights rivalry, and it was actually a pretty close and decent game up until about the midway point of the 3rd quarter, and then the Birds just wouldn’t let off the gas and kept their foot on the Bred’s throat extending the lead, and just kept at it until the final horn sounded. 

At the end of 1 it was Highlands 17-13

At the Half Highlands 36-34

At the end of 3 it was Highlands 60-47

End of game Highlands 82-60

I don’t have any final stats, but Vinson for the Birds had to have had 30+
