Coach Hammonds is hard to get to know and he has his reasons. I will not go into that here or anywhere else so don't even ask. Robert is a very good friend of mine and I feel I was lucky enough to get to know him. He keeps a very small circle. His main focus is his players. I know at Bracken County he had an incredible relationship with his kids. They knew that they could call him day or night and that they trusted him with everything not just basketball.

If Saint Patrick plays the way they did against Lloyd it will be no contest. The Saints are not playing very well at all right now.

Not that anything is wrong with it, but the tournament charges a fee to broadcast the games. That could be why they are not carrying the games. In defense of the the tourney they do provide a line for the radio stations and that is a tremendous help.

Everyone is excited but not letting it go to their heads. Darius is such a level headed young man that it is not even funny.

Not sure what the deal was with Miller (19 pts 14 rebs) but UC's Mick Cronin was in attendance and came away impressed. He was very interested in Miller. Also there was an assistant coach from Wisconsin.

Jim is a VERY good broadcaster and an even better guy. I worked the All A state tournament with him last year and he is super. Jim now works for WLGC and does sports in the Greenup area.

Not real sure what Russell lost but they don't rebuild, they reload. Always a great program as Coach McGlone does an incredible job.

I can remember when Coach Buchanan first came here he used Russell as a measuring stick.

Mason was lead by Darius Miller with 21 pts and 11 rebs back to back reverse dunks 13 Middleton 9 Scott 8 Settt & King Lincoln was lead Noah Keaton (sp?) 11

First game is at 6 tonight. So I am sure it will all depend on how the first game goes as to when Mason tips.

Mason County plays Lincoln County on Friday night and South Laurel plays Clark County in the last game.

I asked a coach about this once and he said to me "When you shoot as bad as we do you have a lot of rebounding chances." :lol:

Hey the Royals will take all the help and support they can get. :lol: Since Mason is in the same district with Russell next year and then if they would advance they are looking at Belfry and Sheldon Clark ........ :scared: Yeah send all the love you can for the Royals.

Cory had 24. Coach Baci does a great job of getting him touches and open looks. Pelle also finds the open man when teams double him. Steven Pelle added 14 tonight. Chris Owens had 25 for Saint Patrick. Nick Anderson played well for the Saints also as he had 12. Thanks for the plug Mustang. Good to see you tonight. :thumb:

You hit the nail right on the head STRIKE3. The only other way that this would be trouble would be if the coach had an agenda with a player, as far as not giving a kid a fair chance. And with Buddy Biggs I know that is not the case because he is a first class coach and an even better person.

That was the best TEAM I have ever seen. Not the best team with great players but the best I have ever seen as far as working together and not caring who got the credit for anything. Just a group of guys all buying into the system and playing their roles to the max.

They used Jeremy Thompson and Jackson Tolle both tonight. I think both guys did a GREAT job considering the circumstances. Mason County got beat but I am really proud of those guys for gutting it out. It was an uphill battle all night but still hung in there. But with a class act like Coach Buchanan you can not be surprised by the character these guys displayed. And as far as Ashland "not playing well".... This time of year you survive and advance. That is the name of the game. Good luck to Ashland and JC. Represent our district well down the road.
