  1. Covington Holy Cross 2014-15 State Champions Very athletic, tall, well coached, aggressive. That team was fun to watch.
  2. I remember watching him in high school many times. When he was at Huntington, they played Scott County and him and Bud Mackey were tearing it up. It's sad to see 2 guys with incredible talent lose a great opportunity to drugs
  3. O.J. Mayo dismissed and disqualified from NBA for violation of drug policy The Rose Hill, North College Hill, Huntington Prep, USC former player has been kicked out of the NBA for violating the NBA's drug policy. He can aplly for reinstatement in 2 years.
  4. I think Ryle is doing the big 7 and lineman challenge on July 14 Newport is doing a 7 on 7 on July 15 with Bellevue, Brossart and Holy Cross Campbell County usually does a couple, but don't know the dates
  5. I think most are in agreement that they'll be the favorite in their district, so how do they stack up with the other half of the region (Raceland, Paintsville and Fairview)? Could this team make a deep run in the playoffs?
  6. Who will be the best team this season regardless of class? I've added several teams to the poll, but if your pick isn't on there, then pick other and what class range they are in, post who and why
  7. Another use for the gray shirt, which is rare, but still used for this reason as well is if the recruit has some legal or academic issues that need to be taken care of before they get on campus.
  8. It's bittersweet seeing a great player step away from the game they love for health concerns. The good news is he's doing this on his own terms.
  9. Do they go get a big time name? Or is there an assistant that they'll bring up?
  10. i think they lose their whole line and a good chunk of their defense
  11. A freshman has 7 pages dedicated to him on BGP could be the best player to come through the 9th since that Wiggins kid
  12. I was talking to a coach from John Carroll in Ohio, he said if they get at least 30 freshmen on the team, the school gives each coach a bonus and he said that's becoming the norm at a lot of D3 schools
  13. the good news: they have 4 home games before the bye the bad news: they go to Florida and Alabama before the bye If they can go 3-3 or better in the 1st half of the season, then that bye week will be a blessing for Barker where he can correct some mistakes and maintain some confidence. He's going to need time from his line
  14. Any district predictions? Being in NKY, here's what I think for district 4 Beechwood Bellevue Dayton Ludlow
  15. Returning stars comprise SEC's most important players in 2016 ESPN article on the 14 most important players in the SEC this season. One for each school, and it's not the best player, but one that needs to have a good season. What do you think? East Division Tennessee Volunteers: QB, Joshua Dobbs Georgia Bulldogs: RB, Nick Chubb Florida Gators: LB, Jarrad Davis South Carolina Gamecocks: LB, Skai Moore Missouri Tigers: QB, Drew Lock Kentucky Wildcats: QB, Drew Barker Vanderbilt Commodores: RB, Ralph Webb West Division LSU Tigers: RB, Leonard Fournette Alabama Crimson Tide: S, Eddie Jackson Ole Miss Rebels: QB, Chad Kelly Texas A&M Aggies: DE, Myles Garrett Mississippi State Bulldogs: LB, Richie Brown Auburn Tigers: DE, Carl Lawson Arkansas Razorbacks: TE, Jeremy Sprinkle
  16. Great hire for Conner, Otte is a great coach. Glad he's getting a good opportunity to become a head coach.
  17. When you have all that talent on the field, egos will clash, things will get a bit chippy. Yeah, sometimes it gets a little out of hand, but some of that intensity is what makes the game great for these players. I don't think they should change much, but here are a few suggestions 1. No rush on the field goal/XP attempts: let the kickers shine too, which also means 2. No fake field goals/XPs: if they can't rush, neither can you 3. No empty offensive formations: must have an RB in the backfield 4. No DB blitzes: just linebackers
  18. i dont know, but i think the ball field by the flood wall is the one he's talking about
  19. A lot of great points here, but something I always tell my guys, no matter how smart they are, is that college isn't for everyone. Sometimes, college won't fit in to your life until later down the path. A lot of young men and women will go to school and figure out if this is what they want to do now or later or never in that first year. Football coaches know that, and will try their best to help the guys they want to stay, but know that if their family can't afford it, or the guy just doesn't want to go to school anymore, then there's nothing else they can do.
  20. I heard Midway College will be accepting men in the fall and have hired all the booys coaches from SCC to start the mens sports at Midway. Anyone know if this is true?
  21. Last year they played Bardstown Bethlehem between Beechwood & NCC. Did they back out for this year? Holy Cross would've been traveling there
  22. that's still one of the greatest games I've ever been to
  23. I think it was 2003, Belfry came up to NKY to play Lloyd in the state semis. There was some snow on the ground, it was so cold i lost feeling in my feet and had trouble leaving the game. I've been to games where it was colder temperature wise, but that was one of the coldest games I've ever been to
  24. The mud bowl, snow bowl, fog bowl, monsoon madness, crazy wind, way too hot... as much as I love the fall and early winter, not everyone loves the weather that comes with it, especially if your team has an awesome passing attack hampered by heavy rain. What is or are some of the best or worst nasty weather games you and your program have been a part of? Could be rain, snow, extreme heat, cold, fog, wind etc.
