I will be pulling for Brossart, too. Except in the discus, of course. Dayton thrower threw 138 in practice yesterday. Bronze would be nice. Nobody beats that Kolb kid. He's a machine.

Mercer County boys and Boyle County girls won team state championships in 2A

 

Mercer County winning reminds me of some of the great athletes Harrodsburg had

2A was the most exciting track meet I've ever attended. Final race was epic, Mercer winning the title on the last leg of the last event of the day.

 

1A was similar today with LCA winning the title after scoring in the boys' 4x400.

Brossart falls short, turns in some great performances overall. Wins the 4 x 400 going away. Great showing in that race by Northern Kentucky schools.

 

This closes out my high school sports parenting career…..it's been a good ride, I'm glad my kids let me tag along.

 

….but don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. :banana:
