It wasn't the tough non-district schedule NCC had, but still a good schedule that they handled very well. Easy A if they win state, but a strong performance at state gives them the A-

I'm not a big fan of having parents of current players on a hiring committee for a coaching position. Parents of graduating seniors or a couple classes removed I think is ok, but a current player's parents make it seem like they are hiring a babysitter instead of a coach and teacher

I believe all Campbell County schools along with Dixie and CovCath are the East. All Boone County schools with Holy Cross, Ludlow, Lloyd, Simon Kenton, Scott, Beechwood and Holmes are on the West

I would give them a B+ A state final appearance and a strong playoff run. However, close games with Holy Cross and Lloyd along with some early ugly losses doesn't get them back to an A.

Saw him play with some intensity during the Sweet 16 and with Weyer, Bellarmine will have some physical guys down low. Congratulations big fella

I know some 1A and 2A schools do spring football, but only go helmets and shoulder pads with no contact, which allows some track and baseball coaches to give their guys permission to go.

Sloan left Taylor County but there are rumors saying that he'll be back at Taylor, he'll be at Ballard, etc. Other than that, I don't know of anyone else that has transferred state-wide

is it likely that Scott might hire someone from outside the greater Cincinnati area?

Cole had a good year statistically, averaged 16.9 ppg, shot 45% from the field, made 35% from behind the arc, and 80% from the free throw line in 35 games. I think this past season, Ben Weyer and Carson Williams took a lot of the attention away from CVH (and they deserved to cause they were that good). Also, early losses to Cooper and Holy Cross took some of the early excitement as well. This season will be tough as well, trying to stand out along side of Sloan, Hollingsworth and Sebree.

If a school is in danger of losing or loses it's accreditation due to academic and or financial reasons, or if the city gets into serious financial trouble, the state could step in and "make a recommendation." However, neither school or city is anywhre close to the point where the state could make that happen. But I wouldn't be surprised if a city recommended at merger

What Dan Wooley has done at Scott has been good so far. Regional runner up last year.

Did they have another choice? I'm not trying to knock on the coach they picked, but Trimble's location and size makes that a tough job. With that said, seems like the coach loves the area and wants to be there. Just gotta give him support

not tied to the coaching job itself, but there may be some teaching openings to help bring a coach in. the posting might read like varsity head basketball coach for 2016-17 school year, teaching positions available for math, english, etc.. paraprofessionals encouraged to apply

I think Beechwood will always have a team strong enough to have a deep run in the playoffs, and the tough non district schedule they play helps. I don't think they are the best team in 1A, but by the end of the season, they'll be up there
