LaSalle (OH) 55 Moeller (OH) 14
That One Guy replied to Bluesport's topic in KY Football (High School)
yes, they've won the D2 state title the past 2 years -
When they do the high school shout out on those primetime games, the broadcast crew will ask for recommendations from the PR department for the home team. Jack Brennan is the Bengals rep and several Bengals did some workouts at Beechwood in the preseason. It wouldn't surprise me if Brennan told them about Beechwood. Pretty awesome shout out

I saw on twitter that at halftime, they are honoring some police officers from many units across Campbell County. This is a pretty cool idea if true -

Aiken (OH) 56 Bishop Brossart 14
That One Guy replied to frankdracman23's topic in KY Football (High School)
I attended this one, I have mutual friends that coach on both teams. Aiken is fast, physical and they have some depth. Brossart defensively was in position to make tackles, but either dived at guys feet or didn't wrap up. Their angles were rough. With that said, who is Brossart's QB? He moved around well -

Say it isn't so.........Manual cancels Freshman season?
That One Guy replied to Jo-Jo13's topic in KY Football (High School)
A 6A school with a deep history and rich tradition of football cancelling a freshman season is alarming. Is Manual's incoming freshman class lower than usual this year? -
2A #7 Holy Cross (Cov) vs. 4A Holmes Predictions
That One Guy replied to HCalumni32's topic in KY Football (High School)
Things to watch for: Holy Cross ground attack Holmes depth, or as some have said a lack of Personal fouls, a lot of these guys know each other, and this is a bit of a chippy rivalry. Neither team can afford cheap mistakes -

Class A: District 5 Preseason Rankings 2016
That One Guy replied to Woodstock's topic in KY Football (High School)
This Bracken team reminds me of last year's Brossart. They haven't won much before, but they have a lot returning and those guys are tired of losing. -
Holy Cross Indians 2016-2017
That One Guy replied to #99's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I think this team will surprise some people, especially if they can gel early, which could be tough if football makes a deep playoff run. I don't think they'll get past CovCath, but I don't think they take a big step back. -
NKY Power Ranking Discussion
That One Guy replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
If you're talking about where the program is, I agree NCC is still a few steps ahead. This season they'll have a good QB, but NCC lost a good chunk. HC brings a lot back and in the regular season almost had them beat. I don't know about blown out, but until they beat NCC they stay behind them -
NKY Power Ranking Discussion
That One Guy replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
Will this season be defined by their record, or how they play against CCH and Highlands? -
was told Cooper is going to Campbell Thursday morning and a couple other teams will be there, but don't know who.

NKY Power Ranking Discussion
That One Guy replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
1. Simon Kenton 2. Highlands 3. Ryle 4. Cooper 5. CovCath 6. Campbell 7. NCC 8. Beechwood 9. Scott 10. Holy Cross I know what Holy Cross will have and expect them to move up the list, but I want to see them prove they can meet the expectations first -
So what it sounds like is the majority of the Big 12 wants to expand, but not with the some of the schools that are available. Texas doesn't want to expand The rest of Texas doesn't want Houston West Virginia wants Cincinnati Kansas wants Memphis Oklahoma wants someone that can play football and they all want Nebraska to come back???

Joe Paterno's wins restored; Penn State sanctions revoked
That One Guy replied to Watusi's topic in College Football
The wins shouldn't have been taken in the first place, because this situation was a criminal matter, not the NCAA's. Paterno didn't do enough, but he notified his boss (yes he had one) and his boss notified the head of police. The ball wasn't only dropped, but spiked somewhere along that line. But that's for a judge to review, not the NCAA -
From 2012 to 2015, Holy Cross had Simon Kenton, Scott, Campbell County, Cooper, Conner, and Oldham County on their schedule at some point. Against those teams, they went 0-12 and the closest game was against Scott last season 56-39. In those 4 seasons they went 12-34 and the furthest they got was the 2nd round. The schedule they have is tough enough to challenge them in most games. These guys need confidence and to stay healthy. Getting clubbed didn't prepare these guys like it prepared NCC. This schedule reminds me of the one they had their state championship season. They didn't play a bunch of cupcakes or super stars, but playing teams similar to their talent level, meaning their starters played into the 4th quarter a lot, and built stamina.

NFL giving painkillers out like candy
That One Guy replied to theguru's topic in National Football League (NFL)
Jason Taylor said towards the end of his career, it got so bad for him that they were giving a shot to numb the area so they could give him another shot for the pain. Now it's not the fault of the NFL here, but look at all the players that have some drug problems after they retire. But like Guru said, I'm still going to watch
