I'm jumping on the BBJ bandwagon and calling the upset. Who really knows? It's high school football.

I'm choosing BG big in this one. They will win big the rest of the way out. Extremely talented and playing like the Champions they are. I haven't seen McCracken play, but I don't think it matters. The Purples are just that good.

Very few teams in the state of Kentucky can compete with BG right now, in the last few years, or in the near future. Want to be THE powerhouse you keep bragging about (14-15 running clocks), up your competition. Stop talking about everyone else's schedule. South has heard about it from the Purples for the last few years, now they're starting on Greenwood.

Apples to oranges? IF Greenwood had BG's athletes........the record would be similar. Greenwood has a good schedule for the type of kids they have. BG was making headway in scheduling teams like McCallie and Blackmon, but has since regressed in playing teams like Monroe and JH. It made sense to play Warren Central back in 2011, not anymore. When you become a powerhouse, you must act like a powerhouse. Right now Wallace is just padding the win column.

No one is touching BG. Here we are wrapping up the regular season and they've yet to be challenged.

I get it, family first. We all know that. Growing up I played multiple sports. My siblings played multiple sports. We played them year round. During the summer, when my baseball coach said, "no swimming tomorrow, you have a game," we didn't go swimming. Even if I wanted to, mom said no. We would go on family vacations and if we had a tournament the following weekend, we came back early. Our "family time" never jeopardized by our participation in sports. We fulfilled our commitments and we became better people for it. There were times we wanted to miss practice for multiple reasons and my parents were adamant about making sure we understood the commitment we made to our school, our teammates, our coach and ourselves. I absolutely cannot comprehend how parents try to justify their week at the beach over that. Here's the thing, the parents may or may not remember that vacation as special family time. The kid, in the back of their mind, will always remember that was the week I let my team down.

If you were referring to Coach Seabolt and the Gators, they are opponents and playing for the district title on Friday.

Do you really think Kevin Wallace would do anything to help a district opponent get a player eligible? That is laughable.

Your comment makes no sense. One of the many freedoms the flag stands for IS the right to kneel during the National Anthem. Just because you disagree with it, doesn't make it wrong. We can't start cherry picking the Constitution.

Most on this forum seem to be in favor of Boyle Co. and their board chairman doing what they thought was necessary to hire Chuck Smith. However, I have to ask; what if it was the other way around and Boyle had a board member with a personal vendetta against the beloved Coach Smith and goes behind the scenes to see that he loses him job because a parent and/or parents are upset with Boyle's 3 losses? Is it okay then?

Last I heard, Ford and Potter had been ruled eligible after weeks of waiting on the KHSAA. Then came the news the KHSAA had reversed their decision. I have no idea on their reasoning other than the Central Office was doing their own investigating. I would also venture to guess that coaches are doing all they can to get kids eligible.

First of all, I don't think the Reynolds kid transferred with no questions asked. Warren East fought the transfer, he moved into Greenwood's district and the KHSAA declared him eligible. (He tried the previous year and was declared ineligible). Second, I would like for you to tell my why the majority of athletes transfer to a different school. Any sport? From everything I see, Warren Central still has a football team. I'm guessing the kids attempting to transfer are doing so because they want to play for a better team. An example would be Jacob Lacey. He's not a "transfer" per say, but he doesn't live in South's district either. I don't think anyone is oblivious to the reasons kids transfer to different schools. No one has a clue as to how the KHSAA makes their decisions. They baffle the mind. I guess a lot of times it's who you know and what strings you can pull.

I doubt Bowling Green gets tested at all this year. They are scary good!

Not very many I would suppose, but that's just because it's not the "it" thing right now, a lot of those guys winning state titles in the spread would still be winning them in the Wing T. [Purple Nation]I disagree. Wing T may be fun to watch but I dont see it winning many rings in our state. I think what he's saying is, if BG ran the Wing T, they would still win a state title. If you don't have a QB that can throw the ball, you can't really spread the offense all over the field. You simply have to work with what you've got. Run teams can do their best to control the clock and give themselves a shot against very athletic teams.

Central was good in 11, 12, 13. But, they weren't BG good. Rarely ever does BG have to play any one player both ways. Every year they average over 100 kids on their roster. Some teams may hold their own with BG through the first 2 quarters, but don't have the man power/stamina to continue through the second half. The steady decline of WC since the opening of SWHS in 2010 is evident in numbers and talent. Add the coaching debacle to that, and here we are.

It does no good for Greenwood, WE or WC to complain about kids going to South. The district allows it, what are they to do? The agreement between WC and BGISD is crap. The Dingle kid lives in Greenwood's district.

I don't think you can gauge any team by their freshmen. If I recall correctly, The 2012 State Champion Purples were winless as freshmen.

Dragonfire, what are your thoughts on playing that brutal schedule with 20-25 kids?
