An official I know and used to work with outside of football has done a few state championship games. He is a retired high school principal and retired regional athletic director. He has seniority in our area as far as officials to and honestly is one of the best officials around. He always wore a state title ring. I asked him about it once and he said he got it when he officiated one of the state title games.

Your estimation of U.K. as a team is vastly overrated IMO.

I love them both, but if I had to pick, it's turkey.

What do you call the stuff that is traditionally served with Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing or dressing?

If it's what I think it is, I used to love it with soup beans, corn bread, fried taters, and green onions.

I'll never forget seeing the advertisement for the McRib in the late 80's and thinking it looked so good. After a while I finally had the opportunity to order one at the McDonald's in Paintsville. I was so disappointed by the pork product sandwich. As the years went by, though I have probably eaten less than five in my lifetime, I have grown to appreciate the beauty of the sandwich.

I'm thankful I still have my Mom who will turn 70 next month, and I still have my Dad who will turn 78 in two months. It's been an extremely tough year for both of them health wise. I'm extremely close to my Mom. I have always been a mommy's boy. My Dad not so much. Although I have never told him, I love him. He was always very tough on me, raised me extremely tough, and never showed affection because I guess in his eyes that was a sign of weakness. I am also thankful for my sheltie.
