Campbell wins easy

Super pumped for NCC this year! Both Highlands and NCC have done better this year than I expected. Good showing for Campbell County schools!

For some reason the announcer announced two non-starters as starting, messed up on the numbers. To avoid a T the non-starters (including one JV starter) started the game but were immediately subbed out by the two regular starters. I asked a friend at the game who the starters were and he shared this incident. The starters are four seniors (Lange, Jones, Jump and M.Schwartz) and one 8th (Scherr). Seniors cannot play JV and supposedly in Boone County neither can middle schoolers.

Would love to hear how Ryle is looking with the new coach? Jump and Lange have signed college commits, surely Schwartz can sign somewhere if she wants too. Three playing college ball bound seniors, a new coach, how do they look? Scrimmage yet?

Congrats to Carly - heard she had a great off season with Legacy! Should be a great senior year for her

Great stuff - heard she had over 20 blocks in one game last year (not totally sure that's true). Great player - congratulations!

A real question... What does it mean for a non-senior to receive an offer? Can the school back out? Can the player accept the offer before their senior year? Do schools ever just change their mind? I think ally is awesome and totally deserving of the offer. This has nothing to do with her. She is a sophomore so I'm wondering how it works.

Jenna Martin is a great point guard! But i think NDA will struggle this year. So she might not stand out as much. The Holmes girl that will be a sophomore this fall - last name McClendon I think? She is good. Mallory Schwatz from Ryle - great player especially around the basket, makes hard things look easy.

Not as surprised as most. I said last week this could easily happen. I've watched the highlands freshman and JV for years.... They have been average at best the last few years. When I mentioned this last week people jumped all over the idea stating that those records never matter and highlands produces state champions anyway. But the freshman and JV teams of those state champion teams 4+ years ago were good, I watched them too. The past few years not so much. This years Cooper senior class has done really well over the past few years. IMHO I just don't think Highlands has the same type of tools to work with...and I think next year will be worse. No negative towards Cooper though - they have a great senior class and will have a great season.

Campbell is better than advertised... QB is stronger and better than people think. He will lead the Camels to victory this weekend.

I think Scott is advancing towards playing with the bigger schools and will win this game. The coach is has been building a good tradition and some pride amongst the players. I've seen Nelsen Perrin play several times and think he's outstanding... Surprised he's not starting yet. Says sine good things about the the depth and upperclassmen

Taylor Clos. Last year she was a warm up year for the impact she'll have. Great shooter, can score from anywhere

Jacob Smith seems like the real deal... Maybe it was because it was Holmes, but I think he's headed for a good year

While I appreciate the work that someone may have put in to creating a prospect/ranking list, is it really fair to call it a KY list if they haven't seen the best players from an area like nky? Kentucky is not that populated, there are basically 4-5 population centers, Louisville, Lexinton, nky and bowling green. If you haven't seen a majority of kids from those four areas of the state how could there be any qualification for calling it a KY list? In addition to Sean, JC, Austin and Jake not even being on the list, what about Cole Hegyi (Campbell) and Luke Moeves (NCC)? They should at least be knocking on the door of a list like this.

Don't have a lot of facts, just heard people mention... This years juniors were routed by several teams as freshman, covcath and Ryle played in championship game that year... This years seniors I also heard were average as freshman, Ryle and beechwood played in the frosh championship that year...from what I've heard JV teams have fared the same... Poor to average the past three years. But I don't have a lot of facts...please feel free to correct/share records and details if that's not right.

The Camels will be better than people think this year. They are going to surprise some teams. They have some good young talent.

Anyone seen Highlands live with pads on now? How do they look? Not sure these players have done great as Freshman and JV teams, not sure Highlands 2015 will live up to the tradition.

How many returning starters are on the Ryle OL this year? Have heard that might be the weakest part of the team. Is it all new players? Anyone know their sizes?

Heard the Ky Royals won the AAU D2 national championship - 8th grade boys! In addition to the NKY Legends winning the 7th grade... That's an amazing showing for nky basketball. Some good players must be coming through the nky schools soon! Congrats to both teams.

Taylor Clos (sophomore) is a very good player. She will be a big difference maker this year for the Lady Camels!

Leaving out several nky area players as mentioned above... Seems like a lot of guys to miss. Hope he gets to see Sean, Austin, JC, Jake soon

I think this might be closer than that... Highlands is likely overrated based on past years and Cooper has a strong team this year. Highlands might still win but I don't think they're going to destroy teams like in the past this year.

I am also curious about the Angel kid... Is he starting? How's he look? Will they use him a lot?

Who are some of the key players this year? I think there was a junior (Peter?) at QB? Who is the main tailback this year?
