The Camels open up their season for the second year in a row against the East Central Trojans. Last year Campbell County traveled to St. Leon and came home with a 31-14 victory. How will the game go this Friday in Claryville?

The Trojans started out of the gate slow last year, losing three straight to start the season as they played quite a few sophomores due to graduation and injuries. They then went on to win 8 straight (including an overtime win over Indy Roncalli) before losing in the 3rd round of the playoffs to a very strong Columbus East team. The offense will be lead by returning starters senior qb Luke Patton and junior rb Austin Bowling. The defense will be lead by Dusty Ward, who is the reigning EIAC 4A defensive player of the year.

 

EC is never too flashy (think Boone during the Hauck glory years, but with more passes in the flats to the TEs). While I see the Trojans winning this game, don't think it will be by more than 14 - 20 points.

Campbell is better than advertised... QB is stronger and better than people think. He will lead the Camels to victory this weekend.
