Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Ryle? Remember, please be constructive.

Would love to hear how Ryle is looking with the new coach? Jump and Lange have signed college commits, surely Schwartz can sign somewhere if she wants too. Three playing college ball bound seniors, a new coach, how do they look? Scrimmage yet?

I just feel like they have underachieved lately. With all the talent their starting 5 has, they should have been a lot better than they've been for the past couple seasons.

Agree they have underachieved, but no suprise with the çurrent Sr class starting their 4th hs season with their 3rd coach, àll totally new systems with coaches and asst that have been brand new to Ryle. Kind of tough to over achieve in their situation.

But brand new yeAr, would enjoy seeing it çome together for the raiders. 7 or 8 very solid seniors

plus the 8th grader Scherr has grown from what I have heard. Tough schedule, I think most of that CJ TOP 25 on their schedule this year. Sçott Sk, Mason ço, àND Holmes first 4 games. Good luck laďies.

Definitely, the girls have been introduced to coach after coach, which isn't usually good for a program. But on the other hand, I don't know if it can all be blamed on coaching. It just seems like things aren't clicking like they should be. These girls have played together for the past 4 years and with the talent they have, should be a force. They have done well, but I don't think they have done what they expected to do

Agree with list that have Ryle Lady Raiders as preseason #3 behind Holmes and Highlands in the 9th. IMO one of these 3 teams will cut down the 9th region nets. Here's why the Raiders have a great chance: This team is loaded with talented senior leadership bringing 7 seniors to the table (including last years 5 starters) and talented underclassmen including 8th grader Maddie Scheer..definitely grown and improved. It's true the senior group is on their 3rd coach in four years but nothing but positive hints from union on new coaching staff and the direction they are headed. They can put the tallest front court in NKY on the floor and will have very solid guard play. Solid post play, solid guard play, solid outside shooting, and solid depth coming off the bench. They will have to take the court running a new system and execute so let's see where this group can be by March.

Gonna be a breakout year for Maddie, if given the opportunity.

Is HC enrollment about to go up again?

I didn't say that! Just heard they may be considering other options! :sssh: May be a moot point with a new coach. But I did hear they may be exploring. Just curious if others had heard the same? She is a nice player that could have an impact immediately wherever she lands. I also think her very close friend (Juliet McGregor) and another outstanding athlete, is no longer playing bball. (not confirmed). So that would be one thing that would eliminate her staying to play with her. Just curious.

Ryle get's a chance to try out their new system, new staff for the first time tonight at 7pm against Mercy at the Bullitt East Hooperama. Should be a good test for the Lady Raiders.

Looked solid especially in first half as Ryle rotated ten players and dominated Mercy 47 to 21. In the second half the offense cooled some, also went a bit deeper in the bench. Ryle won that half 19 - 15. The Jv teams split victories .
