Saw the post about football and basketball being the only sports that give full rides based off of Head count and it is absolutely true. Thanks to football and Title 9 it's much easier and more common for women to get full rides in sports than it is for males. Just about every sport that schools offer for females give full rides based off head count just to make up for the ones the football team gives out. Unfortunately the other sports at the schools suffer the consequences from it, sucks that it has to be that way but it will never change. Congratulations to Jake, it's we'll deserved and I'm sure he chose WKU because the choice made him happy and was the right option for both him and his family.

Mason County was 3A in 2008 and in 2003 I believe (not 100% on that). Newport Central Catholic was 2A and made it to the Final Four last year. I think classifying would be devastating, I can see why the Class A and AA schools would want it, but the way I see it if you want to be the best you have to beat the best. Regardless of school size, enrollment, etc..

What do we expect from the upcoming season in the 10th Region? Obviously GRC only lost one to graduation, Mason County essentially loses everybody except Kara Moran and Aj Reed, Scott loses 3 players to graduation, and Campbell County doesn't lose anyone. To me its 1. GRC 2. Campbell 3. Scott 4. Mason Brad Cox has his work cut out for him the coming year, we will truly see how good of a coach he is if he can get the Lady Royals back on track.

I think Scott wins this game, the may be undersized but they're physical and won't shy away from the contact or the bigger bodies. As long as Jake doesn't have a bad night they'll advance to play BG or SC.

Went into this game hearing how good Scott Co was and how they're one of the top teams in the state and severals peoples picks to win the State Championship, after the 1st half I was confused and questioning the thought process of those of you who had picked them to win, but then they showed up. Great 2nd half by Scott Co, not a fan of them at all but that defense was ridiculous in the 2nd half.

Including golf, archery, and bass fishing? Are they building a golf course with a huge fishing lake and archery range too? Geeze must be nice to be a 6A school. :lol2:

Then what other player in the Region has his talent and abilities? When Allen improves his jump shot he will dominate.

Okay then, what other player in the Region is a D1 prospect and has been on unofficial visits to UK and WKU? He is "by far" the best talent.

Not sure how much credit we can give to the GRC defense after how Mercer shot the ball in their 1st round game, didn't expect them to come out with guns blazing again today.

Then have it in Memorial! It'll make everything much more simple, the KHSAA people don't have to travel from Bowling Green to Lexington or from Lex to NKU. They boys get to play at the home of the Wildcats so why shouldn't the girls get to play at the home of the UK Hoops team?

EKU honestly would be the best as far as central location. NKU is too far North, WKU is too far south west, Rupp Arena and the Yum Center are too big, Memorial Coliseum is too small, and I can't see it being in Freedom Hall. EKU has the perfect sized arena and is a central location.

Robertson Co has some good talent thats very very young, Eli Dotson will be good once he matures, but outside of Alex Schalch and Mason Burden I'm not sure where their offensive production will come from. They will struggle against teams that apply pressure. Mason County will be solid, losing Fox hurts them as far as physicalness and rebounding, but I expect them to succeed without him. I would like to see Garrison come back and be the player that we saw him be in the 2016 season, he's got talent and would like to think he would do the right thing with his second chance. Scott will be decent, IMO they'll struggle without Jake and if you watched them play this year without him on the court you'll agree with me. Campbell loses their go to scorers, I felt as if they were lost without Heigy on the court in the regional tournament this year. GRC is the best overall returning team as they literally lost nobody to graduation and will have experience. They're by far number 1 to me. If Pendleton is gonna be a force Dontaie needs more help, that was proved in the Harrison Co game this year. If he gets support, watch out. For me its: 1. GRC 2. Mason 3. Scott 4. Campbell 5. Pendleton

Explains why the All Region Team wasn't full of players from GRC, Mason, Scott, and Campbell.

In Evan's defense he did have under an hour to write 1000 word article, Maysville is very very lucky to have him. He does a great job.

But he's not more deserving than Wells? Wells lead his team to an All A State Championship and a district championship. Quit hating on him, Bertsch is a good player, just not better than any of the 5 players on the 1st team.

It's in every video I've seen, he has no reaction and walks straight to the Campbell Co bench to shake hands. No way I couldn't let any emotion out at all in that situation. Kudos to him.

I never said it wasn't deserving, I said Lofton and Canada were better players and should've been above him. Wasn't "cutting on him", just giving Lofton and Canada the credit they deserve.
