  1. I hate how the headlines on ESPN and other networks are primarily about UofL, Arizona is a BIG factor in this. They've gotten big time recruits and have had successful seasons. It'll be interesting with what happens to them.
  2. Will they have Mountain Dew instead of Gatorade or Water????
  3. If Bill Self has connections with the Nike family like mentioned in the other post, this gives KU a reason to drop Adidas and join them or Jordan Brand. Also, if the new president at UofL wants to clean house and start the program fresh he’ll probably considering dropping Adidas as well. The other high profile Adidas schools like Texas A&M, Mississippi St, Indiana, Miami, NC State, and Nebraska will probably keep their relationship with Adidas.
  4. I would also think if any of the blue bloods had any connection they’d be mentioned first, but they also may not have gotten that far yet so we’ll see.
  5. I would say decent chances, but who knows. Those schools don’t have to pay athletes to come there because of the story and history of their programs, but for schools like UofL and Arizona they don’t have as much to offer the high end recruits so they have to throw something else in to get attention. Money being the biggest.
  6. I expect there to be multiple phases by the time it’s all said and done.
  7. As a UK fan, I’m hoping and praying that this investigation does get to WWW. If it does it may not go well for Calipari and the Cats.
  8. If I’m UofL I cut ties with Adidas just to try and preserve what reputation I have left. I would think Under Armor would love to have them considering they don’t very many top level programs, Nike probably not so much.
  9. He’s an agent with a lot of NBA clients, his only UK player is Marquis Teague that I know of. There’s also been speculation with him and the UofL program for a couple years now so to some this isn’t much of a surprise.
  10. The FBI raided ASM Sports today with a warrant and took Andy Miller’s computer.
  11. Jason Hinson @Mike Honcho @brooksville
  12. I would expect there to be budget issues depending upon what the NCAA decides. Which will effect everyone.
  13. The Not Chris O’Hearn twitter account expressed interest.
  14. I feel bad for the other teams in the UofL athletic department, those players have gone through the gauntlet for 3-4 years now just because of the Men’s basketball program. They’re going to suffer from the sanctions the NCAA assesses the University because of Rick Pitino. The basketball program deserves everything the NCAA decides to do, but the athletic department as a whole does not.
  15. I would think yes, they’ve ruined their amateur status. By definition they are now professionals.
  16. I’m not sure there’s a coach that would want to walk into that situation.
  17. This is in the Federal District of New York, which is where Wall Street fraud is handled. They'll keep digging until they find every single bit of it, and they're also setting up other College Basketball Fraud tip line, so more could be brought into it than just what has been mentioned thus far. Every coach in college basketball is probably sweating bullets, Calipari, Coach K, Williams, Self, nobody is safe at this point. They're all probably covering tracks.
  18. Would it be safe to say that Coach Elsbernd will describe their defense as "shake'n bake"?
  19. If I recall correctly they had a big story on ESPN a couple months ago on the assistant named from Arizona about how big of a gain this would be for Sean Miller and how he would help him get big recruits. I guess now we know how he helps get those recruits.....
