  1. Saw that on Twitter, I'm happy for the young man for making the decision that benefits him instead of that others want him to do.
  2. But the beauty of life is, there are those who have championships and those who don't.
  3. Formidable? Yes, 10th Regional threat? No. The Polar Bears won't escape the 2nd round if they do make it past Harrison. The only reason they defeated the Camels in the regular season was the fact it was in the Igloo and from what I heard the Camels were playing 8 vs 5.
  4. It blows my mind that people want to blame a kid for quitting a sport for another that he enjoys and is very good at.
  5. I feel certain he would have regional championships if he was at Brossart or Paris yes. Terence Brooks will likely get his 1st regional championship this year.
  6. We live in a culture where winning championships is how you judge someone's career. So in my opinion you aren't classified as a great coach unless you've won championships, and outside of the All A, Mike Code has not.
  7. Please tell me how it's equally or more impressive? I'm all for small schools, but if you told me you could take away Mason County's two State Championships and give me 20 All A State Championships I'd call you crazy and say no thanks. All A State Champs is something to be proud of, but when you win the big State Championship you know you're the best team in the state which is pretty great to say. Mike Code is a good coach, but the fact he hasn't won anything outside of the All A and 37th District is the difference in being a good coach and a great coach.
  8. We wouldn't expect you to understand, there hasn't been a Region Title in Brooksville in quite some time.
  9. This game frustrates me because in a perfect world GRC would be playing Harrison and Bracken would be playing Campbell, but it is what it is. I'm gonna go with the Polar Bears winning simply because I can't see Harrison winning this game after watching them Friday night. Bracken 71- Harrison 58
  10. The Royals haven't faired well in the Region when it's been at the Fieldhouse in recent years. They didn't make it in '13, '14 and then had the best team in the Region in '15 and exited 1st Round to Harrison Co. In '12 the tournament was at MoCo in which they made it all the way to the finals and then of course won it at MoCo last year.
  11. Just wondering how you have a guy who's never even been to a 10th Region Championship game above guys who have multiple Championships (Biggs and Russell).
  12. When they played last season Pig Williams was in the middle of his two game suspension for getting ejected at Brossart. This year I do believe Belcher had the better team.
  13. Completely forgot about him, he replaced Matt Daniel for me.
  14. These two teams last played December 9th @ Scott with the Eagles winning 85-72. Will the Eagles blow out the Royals once again or will the Royals narrow the margin and pull off the upset in the Fieldhouse?
  15. This got started in the thread of the 39th District Championship, so I thought it deserved a thread of its own.. If I were to rank them it'd be: 1. Buddy Biggs 2. Aric Russell 3. Josh Cook 4. Steven Fromeyer 5. Terence Brooks 6. Mike Code 7. Jason Hinson 8. Brian Kirk 9. Patrick Kelsch 10. Keaton Belcher I have Buddy Biggs at #1 simply because you cannot argue with his results. He took a less than average Mason County team last year and won the Region and then took an even worse Mason County team this year and still won the 39th District and has them playing very well at the right time once again. Not to mention the success he had at Pendleton County. Aric Russell to me is a close 2nd, his numbers don't lie either. Josh Cook is doing really good things with a young GRC squad and had a great season last year at Mercer Co. I don't know much about Fromeyer, but Scott is a very solid team and wouldn't be winning games without a decent coach. Terence Brooks has transformed Paris from a team with a lot of talent but never produces results, to a 10th Region Championship type of team. Mike Code should probably be higher, but the fact he's never been past the semi-finals of the 10th Region tournament hurts him. Jason Hinson is a good coach, but people over hype him for someone who's only been to the semi-finals of the 10th Region once (Bach's senior year). This season has hurt him IMO. Brian Kirk- lead Augusta to the 2016 10th Region Championship game while winning the 39th District. Yes it was already a well running machine, but you can't beat MoCo and Scott without good coaching. Patrick Kelsch- one of the underrated coaches in the Region IMO. He has done a fantastic job with what talent and ability he does have at RCS. Keaton Belcher- I really like Keaton, but the fact they lost to Harrison this year concerns me. I think if Michael Antrobus stays at Pendleton then he's a lot higher on this list and Pendleton probably has a 10th Region Championship under their belts.
  16. I disagree with this, all teams have proven to be susceptible to losing at anytime this year. Campbell and Paris have each lost one in Region game, Scott has lost two (both to Campbell), and GRC has lost 4. We don't exactly know how good Mason is since they're just now playing with everyone healthy. Nobody saw the Mason/Augusta Championship coming last year so personally I think Bracken, Harrison and Robertson are the only teams you can go on and say won't be cutting down the nets in the Fieldhouse. I agree that Campbell and Paris are the two best teams in the Region, but the best team doesn't always win. That's my opinion, take it for what it's worth. (Which isn't much to most people):lol2:
  17. Mason could possibly shock the world in make a run like they did last year, or they could be 1st round knock outs. They'll be dealing with an angry Jake Omer as Campbell Co dealt with an angry Pig Williams last year so maybe Scott will be he team that gets hot and makes a run? Unfortunately Campbell gets GRC first round, I really like this GRC but I think it's just a year too early for them. Harrison is a very poor basketball team and Bracken has Austin Crawford which is why I have the Polar Bears winning. Paris and Robertson will be very ugly as the Black Devils have very few players who can legitimately dribble the ball.
  18. It worked because your son is BALLER. You can't teach or coach stuff like that.
  19. Mason and Clark will be the top teams next year IMO.
  20. Campbell/GRC= Campbell Harrison/Bracken= Bracken Paris/Robertson= Paris Mason/Scott= Scott Campbell/Bracken= Campbell Paris/Scott= Paris Campbell/Paris= Campbell
  21. I think we can all agree that the Championship game will be GRC/Scott vs. Mason/Campbell.
  22. I'm confused as to what your point is here? If Bracken had gotten anyone other then Harrison then there's a 90% chance they lose that game. The only District loser that could beat the Lady Royals would've been Scott.
  23. A team they've already beaten once this year or a young GRC team?
  24. You mean Greg Letcher and the Lady Blue Jackets? Mason still gets Campbell in the 2nd round which won't be a cake walk by any means and if anyone knows not to over look someone in the 1st round it would be the Lady Royals after last year.
  25. Jason Hinson must've ate his Lucky Charms for breakfast this morning.
