SteveHarvey
Game was closer than the score shows. We found out who's flops the refs would fall in love with, but when Scott shoots like that they're going to be hard to beat. Good luck to the eagles! SteveHarvey
Give credit to Scott though they took charges. Hated to see Perkins go out The last 2 charge calls on Dunnaway were awful, come on now But yeah when perk went out it changed everything. Felt the royals should have fed Fox all night. On to the next season.
jozeywells
Don't understand why Fox didn't get the ball like Shaq...Scott has no size. Can shoot the lights out...Paris/Scott must see.

I gotta feeling that one will be a barn burner!!! Both teams want to and can run !!
mcpapa
Score was 55-50 then the wheels fell off for Mason County with attrition due to injury and foul trouble. Lead got to 20 not long after that. Hard to beat a team that shoots 8-16 from distance and gets out on the break for easy baskets as well; even harder undermanned. Congrats to the Royals on turning their season around, and to Scott on the win. They will be a tough out.:thumb:

mcpapa
Ty Fox named to the all-tournament team. 19 points on 9-10 from the field. Only senior on the Mason County roster.

RoyalWildcat
The last charge on Dunnaway was the momentum changer, anytime the Royals got close Scott always had an answer. Best of luck to the Eagles the rest of the way, Ohmer is a BALLER.
polarbear98
Fox played a great game. Dunnaway fouling out was a huge momentum shifter. Seemed like once Scott got the lead they never relinquished it. Mason would get it down to a point or two but could never get over the hump. Agree with a couple of the fouls on Dunnaway could have went the other way. But 2 out of the 3 charge calls were legit. And that came from a Mason guy that was sitting around me. Right wrong or indifferent a player has to adapt to what calls are being made. Especially when you already have foul trouble. Dunnaway didn't do that. I love his game plays at 100% all the time but sometimes you have to reign it in and that didn't happen tonight. I'm hearing concussion for Perkins and that's unfortunate. I absolutely hate to see a kid get hurt and I hope he recovers quickly. Appeared he got undercut as he was going up for a dunk put back. Don't think it was anything malicious just very unfortunate. Paris/Scott should be a dandy. Especially if both teams come out and play to their fullest potential. As always it was a pleasure getting to watch some basketball with my good friend @mcpapa I really enjoyed watching the games tonight. 10th region tournament where else would anyone want to be this time of year? :thumb:
sumoroyal
I bragged on the referees but tonight not as good in both games. Many fouls and every drive was an automatic charge. One referee called four fouls on Dunaway and three charges. Going in, I knew this would be a tough game to win and we would have to have some breaks which we never got. We made some critical mistakes which turned into easy baskets. Now, I want to give Scott all the credit in the world. Every time we left someone open they nailed one. Good shooting. Dumalo was a high key as he scored 10 in the first half and 17 for the game on 6/9 shooting. Will be a good game Monday.
