Win some, you lose some.

Us Mason county fans were saying the same thing. Not taking anything from Scott high they play well. I thought dunaway was forcing things when he shouldn't. Especially with game close. He has to realize that he has 4 fouls. I give Scott high coach credit he let dunaway drive and had a man take the charge. The last 2 was iffy! And some of the an ones were suspect from my perspective. But overall Scott shot lights out!!

I thought Fox was a beast. Scott had no answer for him. Shooting 9/10 from field you should make sure that kid touches the ball everytime down the floor before anyone else takes a shot. The kid is strong and very athletic and could have scored as many points as he wanted. I agree I thought Dunaway tried to do too much at times in this game and it hurt his team. I know he was just trying everything to win the game for his team but I just it was too much at times.

Happy for Coach Fro.

Per James Weber's Twitter, Scott had 5 total turnovers on the game, all in the first half. They also held Dunaway scoreless in the second half, when he had 15 in the first half. They also out-rebounded a much bigger/physical Mason County team, both offensively and defensively. Could this be the reason Scott won and not the awful officiating? Congrats to Mason County on a fantastic last few weeks of their season. They're very well coached and deserve credit for their turnaround. Congrats to Scott High on the win.

I don't think anyone blamed the officials for the loss, just that there were questionable calls, but that's every game. I think MC lost because they didn't slow the game down force Scott to play half court, Scott is just too good to run and gun with and MC didn't have the horses to do so.

Also I will applaud Biggs' coaching decision to keep playing Dunnaway in the 1st and 2nd quarter with two fouls MC had to have him in the game or things would've gotten ugly had he been forced to sit.

Not sure about this one. Perkins is 6'8", yes. Fox is 6'1", Dunaway is 6'0" and about 112 pounds soaking wet, Kumler is 6'1" at best and Lofton is maybe 5'9".

Perkins can't score...If he was more of an offensive threat Mason Co could be team to beat next season.

Running with the ball is Mason County's and Buddy Bigg's bread and butter. I wouldn't have stopped doing it. I think the issue was more on defense. Scott had a lot of uncontested 3's

Hoping for a Campbell-Paris final. Hard to beat a good team 3 times.

I think you still have to keep him on the floor. Fox, Lofton, Dunaway, can all score. He's too valuable on the glass and block/alters about every shooter within 5 feet.

Dunaway and Lofton staying out of foul trouble was my key to the game in the prediction thread. They both got in foul trouble and whenever they are off the floor that changes things for MC. Not saying that Dunaway would have won the game for MC, but any time those two were off the floor it was an advantage for Scott. And Perkins getting hurt was also a big factor. There were drives in the 4th quarter that he could have challenged.

Congrats Scott High. Should be a good final 4.

Mason County averaged 37.1 rebounds a game. Scott averages 26.1 yet the Eagles out rebounded the Royals it probably what he was alluding to with the "bigger" comment.
