  1. Per Twitter Tanner Clos got an offer from Transylvania after the Regional Championship. Congrats to Mr Clos! Well deserved!
  2. Congrats to Mr Clos. The young man is an absolute warrior. I love the way he plays the game. He can the score the ball at any level and plays tenacious defense usually on guys twice his size. Congrats!!!! Also congrats on Regional Championship!!
  3. I think Campbell is way to hungry to end their season now. These seniors have not finished their mission. Camels win! Wanting more!!!
  4. As far as tonights game goes I am going to go with Campbell in this one. I think it will be a hard fought game by Scott but if Campbell plays together then they will definitely come out with the W.
  5. Why do say that they wont be there? It really depends on the boys if they are there or not. They have the talent to make it there. Everyone said that about Scott last year and look where they ended up.
  6. I heard Holy Cross cancelled their game with Campbell County Friday night and will not reschedule. Anyone know the reason for this? This game has been on the schedule since the beginning. They apparently did the same thing last year?
  7. Some of the ones that come to mind are Maria Reinhart, Taylor Jolly, Kylie Kramer, Kelly Waters, Lori Franzen. Brenda Ryan held the record that Taylor broke.
  8. Campbell County announced all the 1000 point scorers in school history before the varsity game last night and then announced Clos as being the all time leading scorer in girls and boys history.
  9. I agree 100%. Holbrook and Wells have to continue to score double figures every game. It keeps teams honest. They both played excellent last night.
  10. This is the final from Claryville. This game was never close. The Lady Camels played a much better game tonight. Holbrook and Wells with nice games for the Lady Camels. Holbrook with 17 and Wells had 15 and 7 rebounds. Clos with a huge game 21 pts, 9 steals and 8 assists. Clephane finished with 28 pts, Secrist with 20.
  11. I have to go with Clos. She is such a leader for her team.
  12. I disagree with what you are saying in regards to which team would win without either of their players. Obviously Scott doesn’t have the talent overall that Campbell has so your comparison doesn’t make sense.
  13. I have seen all the 9th region teams play this season and I have to go with Holmes to 3 peat the region.
  14. Nobody knows who is going to win the state championship this year if they did then there would be no sense in playing it and just go ahead give the trophy to the winners. Lol. This whole thread has become a joke. For one to say that Campbell has no shot at winning state because they lose one game by 1 point in OT is just dumb. It’s high school basketball anything can happen. I think it did Campbell good to lose that game. It’s better to lose now then in the post season where it really counts. So basically what you are saying is if a team loses one game by 1 point to a team they shouldn’t lose to that the have no chance to win the state tourney. Well I guess Campbell should just forfeit the rest of the season according to you. Lol.
  15. I am going to go with Mason County by 3. I still like their starting lineup. I think there is still talent at Mason that wasn’t getting the opportunity to play so now they get their turn.
  16. This was the final from Claryville last night. The Lady Camels looked a lot more like themselves in this one. I think the loss on Saturday opened their eyes.
  17. Not sure how Campbell loses the top spot in the region that they are undefeated in but that’s just my opinion and the team that is first was beaten by the Camels on their home court. I see you said the question of what have you done for me lately but not sure what that means when you are undefeated in your region and just beat a very tough Scott team.
  18. I think the officiating was poor averalk but they definitely favored Highlands. Highlands coaches questioned every single call even when it was in their favor as to why one ref called it instead of another. I think their constant complaining and constant individual conversations with the refs affected the game for sure. Lady Camels have played the same aggressive defense every game this year and refs have been consistent with their calls. Yesterday was a totally different animal because the refs completely changed the way the Lady Camels has to defend. So yes I would say refs made the difference.
  19. I will give credit where credit is due and Highlands played a heck of a game last night. Highlands sat in a zone all night and executed their game plan well. However it was stated earlier in this thread that Campbell relies on turnovers to win and if a team has good ball handlers it makes it tough for Campbell to win then explain how Campbell beat male, montini Catholic, mount Notre Dame, and have Mercer county all they wanted the entire game when each one of those programs have D1 point guards and other d1 players as well. I don’t think anyone on here has said Campbell has the state title wrapped up or shirts printed anywhere. However I do think they have as much of shot to at a state run as any of the top ranked teams. I’m not sure why people are taking shots at the lady Camels all the time. Is it because they aren’t from the Louisville area and people thinks that makes them less superior. Last night was a different game. Clos sat most of first half in foul trouble, Schwarber sat most of second in foul trouble and then fouled out. Both played the same way defensively as they always do. if anything was less aggressive last night knowing how the calls were going to go. Neither Clos or Schwarber have really been in foul trouble all season until last night. Highlands won by 1 in overtime and Clos and Schwarber played half the game and Stapleton had an off shooting night with highlands shooting 31 free throws to Campbell shooting 7. I would say that is a huge difference as well. I do agree that someone else has got to step up on this team and start scoring. At the end of the day it is high school basketball and anything can happen and last night showed just that. Hats off to Highlands for playing a great basketball game and hopefully that win will boost them a good run through their postseason and good luck to them the remainder of their season. They are a very tough and scrappy team. As for the lady Camels they will be just fine and will learn from the loss and move on.
  20. I picked Robertson to win this game as well. I think the kids on that team play with a lot of heart. It all comes down to who wants it more.
