Agree. As a CCH guy, Hall (& Kunkel) make me nervous in terms of body strength/size for Guards versus our lighter/quick 1's and 2's.

I have read enough of your entries to recognize the passion you have for basketball, especially at the high school level. You certainly have knowledge of both KY and Indy hoops. However, in saying that, I can't help but think this is a passive/aggressive way of highlighting Indiana's HS player history over KY. In an instant it went from KY's Mt.Rushmore to Indiana's starting 5, plus the first 5 off the bench. I say this tongue in cheek with a rye smile, knowing there is no argument over which state has the better legend of players. (much to my chagrin). I mean after all, I would never mention the conversion to multi-class state champions in your fair state, nor the turmoil in auto racing that lead to years of no name 500 winners.

Can anyone confirm if PL Dunbar game is home or away? Would love to see Hollingsworth come to Park Hills.

Looking forward to seeing how Walter does with increased playing time. A big key I would think. The depth of the program really kicks in this year. Time to amp up the defensive pressure even more.

My hours coaching them on the hardwood must have paid off on the diamond! lol

UK High School College NBA Withdrawal is more excessive this year. I've grown accustom to Cats getting me to Opening Days . . . Reds & Keeneland with the Masters immediately following, all the while amping up Derby fever.

Its gets real today for NCC. Dunbar will be best team they play all year. If Ben stays out of foul trouble, Breds pull it out. Gonna be tough on him when Hollingsworth drives to the basket, front runner for MR.Bball next year. Go Breds!

As a CCH alum, of course, rooting for the Breds. Last I checked, their mascot isnt Bluebirds. Just kidding. Always root for the local teams in any sport when at STATE. Only one exception, the year the Mitchell kid played for HHS.

Weyer will get his. Too big, too talented. Keeping Hall out-of-sync will be a key for Trinity. Do the Trinity guards have good size (not necessarily height), because Hall, despite being a sophomore, is a strong young man. Rooting like heck for Ben & the Breds, but think T will prevail. As someone who attended both schools rivals, I was hoping for the other Catholic matchup (CCH v. St. X)

I agree, Dunbar wins it all. Their trio of star players is fantastic & the supporting cast brings additional size & speed.

Historically, coaches at all levels tend to tighten their bench come tourney time. Coach R sat CJ for about 10 seconds late in the game, but quickly had him back in at the next dead ball. Based on a long season, Coach R knew he had it in him, just didnt show through last night. He'll have more chances down the road. The idea of Walter & a zone isnt bad, but IMO, not when behind on scoreboard, especially with the shooters NCC has. As for the "real"ly blonde haired lady, don't sweat it LB13. Rational people know it not to be a reflection on NCC. I'm sure we Colonels have had some non-flattering fans(?) over the years.

I would buy you the next round, but since driving home, I'll keep that $14 in my wallet.

I went to (2) of NKU's biggest games (Valpo & Wright St) this season. I would say last night was 4 to 5 times greater. Would love to see NKU have regular Saturday afternoon games & ascend toward the top of their league. BB&T Center could be rocking. A little lunch & a craft brew at a local establishment, followed by a Norse game with a 2nd beer, makes for a good day!

This Colonel fan is disappointed in the loss, but realizes the better team won last night. Congrats NCC! The NCC guard (Hall) was the best sophomore on the floor. That being said, really proud of AJ, Aiden & CJ for their season. They will be better because of this experience. I'm hoping NCC gets to take down St.X as recent Bellarmine star & St.X asst. coach (Thelen) watches a future Bellarmine star. Represent Breds.

Scott Co. should be really good the next three years for sure. If they somehow manage to get to Rupp this year & get early Sweet 16 experience - Lookout . . could be tough for rest of the state for awhile.
