Fear the Nation Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 COV CATH fans are quiet this year? I fully expect a hard fought game for four quarters from CCH. I believe less than six plays will decide this game. I think those plays come out to Ryles favor. Ryle by 2 scores.
colonel-fan Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 COV CATH fans are quiet this year? Not really. There was a 7 page thread about the 2016 team only recently closed. Too much Tanner Morgan this game for CovCath. If CovCath can't establish a running game, then a 2 score Ryle victory sounds right.
75center Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I will be rooting for CCH but I believe Ryle could have a special team this year.
Hellbird Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Ryle Just too big and too many skill players for CCH to slow down.
NKY Bandit Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Looks like I have to agree with HB, even though I don't like it.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I'm looking forward to being in Union on Friday night, and I'm hoping that it is a game heading into the 4th quarter. I think that is about the best the Colonels can hope for at this point, keep it close into the 4th and then try to force a mistake and / or make a big play and steal one late.

Cov Cath never lays down and plays to the end. They have talent and that makes them dangerous. We can't let a team like that hang in the game or we might be on the losing end if it comes down to the wire. I have respect for their tenacity. We might be valued as the better team but I can guarantee you Ryle is getting ready knowing they are going to be in a dog fight. I like our D this year so we should get the W. The offense should chew up big chunks moving the ball. The D will determine the outcome. If we get some good stops we come out pretty well. A shootout will favor CCH chances.
AreLinz Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Going with Ryle, obvious but Tanner Morgan is the difference maker, especially in an early season matchup.
Voice of Reason Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 How does Ryle's receiving corps this year compare with last year? How many receivers are back?
All about the Kids Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Ryle has their top 2 receivers back in Bryce Ashley and Jake Long. Chisholm out of the back field along with Cole Burch will also get some balls their way. Zach Cusick will be a deep threat for the Raiders. I will assume they will also have some special plays under their hats if needed! Friday should be a fun game to watch for us fans!
Fear the Nation Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 How does Ryle's receiving corps this year compare with last year? How many receivers are back? Almost all of them. I think we graduated 2 maybe 3. The kids comming back all got significant PT last year.
JDEaston Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 This is a tough one to predict. Last season the Raiders edged the Colonels 35-28. Look for another close one this season. Will the Colonels be able to get revenge from their loss at home last season, which would be a huge confidence builder, or will the Raiders pick up another week 0 win against the Colonels, this time at home?
