I think Fleming has the offense and athleticism to compete with Lawrence but the Bulldogs will physically dominate the Panthers up front and wear them down with their physicality. Lawrence 34 Fleming 22

It's a joke. Everyone in 1A and 6A gets in while there are TWO teams in 3A District 5 sitting at home this week because it is a six team district. Ridiculous.

Congrats to West Carter on a fantastic season, perhaps best ever at the school, and what will likely be the first playoff victory for their program. Hopefully Lewis can find a way to notch our first playoff win here soon in the next couple seasons.

Tough season for my Lions full of injuries to key players. A lot of younger kids got a lot of experience this year though that will help us in the future. Senior Austin Evans is in good shape and came home last night after suffering a scary neck injury early in the game. I'm not going to comment on what happened in the play that he got hurt on but I'll just say this. Is it not the officials' jobs to protect the players? If one player does something that looks like injuring the other player is the intent then he should be flagged and potentially ejected right? Really really bad night for this officiating crew. It wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game but you have to protect these kids because they are just that. Kids. Good luck next week against Nicholas County, Eagles.

No reason for East Carter and Lewis County not to play when they're both struggling the way they are this season. I believe that game would have been competitive this season and for years to come. Hope we resign a contract with the Raiders after next year

Senior night for a class that deserved so much more. If it weren't for injuries to key players their junior and senior seasons there's hard telling what kind of seasons the last two would have been. That being said, I fully expect the Lions to come out fired up and looking to upset a Fairview team already looking forward to the playoffs. Hope for an injury free game on Friday night.

Before this season, since he's graduating in December to enroll at UK early, I hear Kash Daniel was also the starting power forward for Paintsville's basketball team and bat cleanup for the baseball team.

Isaac Kelly is a sophomore at Lewis County and got the starting QB job about halfway through the season. He was also the 6th man on Lewis County's basketball team as a freshman last season and is expected to be a key player for the Lions baseball team this season. Needless to say, us in LC are excited to see what Mr. Kelly brings to the table for us the next three years.

Has Raceland regressed as the season has went on? The team I saw in the grid in August isn't a team I would ever imagine would lose to Paintsville by 43 points.

There's no part of me that can see a Raceland win in this game considering how both teams have been playing the last couple weeks. The Fleming County game was a huge wake-up call for the Devils.

Going through a similar situation at Lewis County this year. County schools go through cycles. Mason will get a win vs West Union, OH. They won't be 0-10.

He suffered an avulsion fracture in his pelvis. When his hamstring pulled it pulled a piece of bone off with it and it is requiring surgery.
