I'm looking at Casey County a bit more skeptically, because I fully expected them to handle Ballard last weekend. I think they're the better team this weekend, but, now I'm just a little curious about them as a whole now.

I'm actually a bit surprised by this one. I thought Casey would win by quite a bit more than 2. I would have gone towards something like a 21 point win. But, a win is a win.

It appears to me that the guys at Central probably weren't as fond of the Waggener hype. I'm surprised by the margin, and I thought Waggoner might beat them. But, at the same time, I'm not surprised by this at all. Central will get it worked out, and it appears they're starting to.

Guys, it's Belfry. Don't get them riled up more than they already will be.

It's not true at any private school, I'm assuming.

The fact that we are in a 24 hour news life, and any story will be blown up, I'd say having a stadium full of 65k+ people, plus a television audience, is a darn good situation to try and make a statement.

I'm not sure how many teams are still listening to AC/DC currently.

I haven't heard of anything outside of the NFL, actually. I've been to plenty of games where neither team is out in time for the national anthem.

I go BG and Trinity over Belfry. But, literally, that's it.

That's what I was going to say. But, if Belfry lost this week and Corbin won, I'm still picking Belfry every time in 3A. The only way I stop is if Belfry changed classes.

See, that's the thing. I looked at the schedule and instantly thought "Geez, Belfry could easily lose this weekend. But, I mean, it feels wrong to pick that." I made my pick already, and I'm going with it. Belfry is my ride or die!

It's gotta be Belfry, right? And, on the flip side, I think it goes Corbin, Bardstown, Casey, Adair.

I think they've had partnerships with UK things before, so I don't know if this is connected to the state finals.

That's kind of what I was wondering, too.

Central by 10ish. I think they are able to remain level headed enough for the entire game, whereas Waggener I feel could have the opportunity to be up and down as the game goes on. Should be a great game. If it weren't at Central, I'd be tempted to call it a pretty even game. But, I think home field gives Central a few more points.

I know Waggener has the talent to play this year, but do they have the attitude/drive/culture to win? We all know how much a factor things like that can be when you get teams who haven't had the same levels of success. Should be a good game, regardless. And I think we should know a lot more about both teams.

I came here to say the same thing. They're fantastic.

I doubt most people have officially "released" their schedules, but, I'd dare say most people have everything already lined out, with the exception for maybe a few teams that might need a game or two.

Is the only reason this game is in Columbia simply because of the distance between?

I think it's entirely possible that they could be 7-0. I'd say they're 6-1 at worse, but I'll admit that I'm not all that familiar with Bell, other than what I've read on here. What's the main reason behind this surge? Also, who is in their district?

I think everybody knows that Belfry losing is a possible issue. But, everybody also knows that Belfry is the hands down favorite to win it all in 3A. For me, when I think about Belfry losing, it comes down to one major thing in my mind. If Belfry plays their game, they win. Opponent doesn't matter. And for me, I don't think some teams really would even have a chance at winning. But, for the teams who could possibly beat them, it would take a perfect storm of a game. Did Corbin play the absolute game of their lives, while Belfry slept through the first half, got injuries, turned the ball over, and when they snapped back to the game, they couldn't rally enough. Is Belfry better than everybody else in 3A? Uh, yeah. Quite. Everybody knows that the road for anyone to a title is rough. Physically and mentally for your team, physically and mentally for their team. Anybody who is playing late in the season has earned it, period. But, I think everybody knows who Belfry is. And everybody, while they know that anything is possible, knows what it would take from 3A to unseat them.

I think it's open as far as who is going to be playing Thanksgiving weekend, but I think that's probably where Lex Cath takes it. There should be a lot of good games, though.
