  1. A-M-E-N :thumb: :thumb: Let the current coach be held accountable for these losses. Again, this thread was sad.
  2. Did he beat IU last year? How is his record against the Hoosiers? However, that is beside the point. He is getting all of this blame laid at his feet, although if UK had beaten either UNC or IU Gillispie would be trumpeted as a hero. Tubby is in a no-win situation with many folks and that is too bad.
  3. If UK had beaten UNC and / or IU would Tubby have gotten all of the credit?
  4. Most of this will be redundant, but some thoughts on the game Friday night: * Let me begin with this, only CSHS can carve a buck out for a great cause and call it "got in my pocket." Jeesh... * Darius Miller was unreal. As has been said countless times in this thread, he could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. CCH tried several kids, and they gave it their all, it just wasn't enough. Luke struggled against him, but hats off to Luke for wanting the challenge and not backing down to it. * The Mr. Basketball award is over. Congrats. :bunny: * Setty is really, really good. What a weapon. Long, solid fundamentally, great shooter. Super complimentary player. Had heard about him but didn't realize he was THIS good. He was easily the 2nd best player on the court. * Loved the fact that the CovCath kids never gave up. They played their tails off until the final horn. Listerman has to be proud of that. * #52 for Mason Co. will be a nice player in the future. As will #5 (JV kid who dressed varsity but didn't get in). Solid players...I assume sophomores? Nice future. * Gym was nice, no question, but the people were even better. Everyone, from the lady watching the doors to the woman supervising the kids' fund-raising were just as nice as they could be. * Mi Camino Real just does NOT disappoint. It's as simple as that. * If there is a team in KY better than Mason County than they are REALLY good and REALLY deep. That is one loooong bunch of Royals. Great atmosphere and thrilled that I made the trip in spite of the loss.
  5. It also clearly states that if I work on the Sabbath I should be put to death.
  6. For the record, the Reds would include Stubbs in any deal. Major disappointment.
  7. Just playing Devil's Advocate, is there not a good chance (maybe even a likelihood) that said individual was living a lie for many years to assimilate more easily into society but once they got older and less worried about other's perception, they became true to one's self? Can you buy that as a reasonable explanation for your example? I voted "B" by the way.
  8. I'll be very shocked if Homer is dealt. That being said, his off-the-field attitude has rubbed a LOT of people within the organization the wrong way. Truth be told, I'm not sure the Reds have stock-piled enough talent to start making baseball decisions based on non-baseball issues, but maybe they see the Bengals' debacle and want to err on the side of caution. Like I said, I think it is doubtful. I agree with GT (and others) that he is far more a thrower than a pitcher. However, like was also said, I'm not sure that can't be fixed. I do believe the off-the-field stuff is why you see his name floating around. Nothing overly dramatic, just not a good guy.
  9. You would take Boston College over Illinois? Seriously?
  10. Umm, they take 10...you only gave me 8 spots. WVU and Hawaii would have rounded out my 10 team field. :sssh:
  11. You know me well enough to know that I don't get into arguing / debating hypotheticals. I never get into those "who would win if..." threads. Again, I think the SEC is the best conference in America, and the Big 12 North was down this year (in terms of depth), but that isn't Kansas' fault. I get it...you disagree. MHO is a 1-loss BCS Conference team gets an invite...oddly enough, those pesky folks who select the BCS games agrees with me. At the very least, I'm in semi-good company.
  12. If you wanted me to pick your 8 teams than you should have made that more clear in Post #1. I thought you were actually asking for other semi-intelligent sports' fans to offer their own opinions. My bad. They didn't choose who to play in the South, they simply played the hand they were dealt. Their schedule was soft, no argument, but I think we've all seen that to get road wins within a BCS Conference, whether against a great team or not, it takes something. You have your 8 and I have mine. Do I think Florida would beat Kansas...probably. However, the regular season has to mean something. Right?
  13. Homer? Since when am I a Kansas fan? Sorry, but schedule or no schedule a 1-loss team out of a BCS conference gets a bid to this Elite 8 IMHO.
  14. In no order: LSU Georgia Ohio St. Oklahoma Kansas Mizzou USC VaTech
  15. I am 100% in agreement with you, in fact, I was going to start a thread stating that I was disappointed in the Bills for the way they handled it. I'm no fan of Soccer (cue Habib's angst), but when a guy gets kicked in the freaking shin and goes down the other team kicks it out of bounds. Great move by the Redskins...goose-bump type of stuff. Weak by the Bills to take advantage of it. Don't give me the "competitive game" stuff, it was the first play of the game.
  16. June Jones showed a supreme lack of class on ESPN last night. Kudos to Herbie for hammering him for doing so. :thumb: :thumb:
  17. Yes -- and therein lies the problem versus a Defense like the Sooners.
  18. UGA -- hopefully by a LOT. That place will be rocking with Dawg fans. I expect Brennan to get sacked 4+ times, throw 2+ picks, and probably 3 TD's. Hawaii --- about 23 Georgia -- about 42
  19. Oklahoma wins this game by 10+. Oklahoma's defense is REALLY good and if they can make The 'Neers one-dimensional it will be tough to move on the ground.
  20. USC by a ton. Thank goodness Illinois didn't make the Outback Bowl. :walk: By the way, Lordy the Big 10 is stinky.
