CovCath is loaded with some incredible talent so is Highlands. Campbell is loaded and Simon Kenton has some of the best talent coming up that they've had in years. Who is the best program over the next 3 years?

The first series on 4th down they didn't go for it and the QB didn't take it upon himself to run. The coaches had the QB trying to draw the Camels offsides with a hard 4 count and that was the play call in the huddle. The center snapped the ball on 1 and the play was immediately broken. My point is made from my previous comment that the QB doesn't win or lose the game by himself and also that that game was just a poor all around effort. Let's see if the SK TEAM learned from their mistakes and if the can rebound this week against Scott.

Brennan Gangwish is the starter. He is the best all around QB on the roster but, as I'm sure you all know, a QB does not win and lose the game by himself. That was an all-around poor game by the the young Pioneers. Farfsing looked good when he came in for the 4th quarter but all of the 2's were in so you can't really judge based on that. He is a much better linebacker. They will be fine.

Ryle Freshman beat Dixie 4-3

Simon Kenton beat Brossart 6-3

And Cogswell is a steong, powerful back and just destroys people. Both player in the NKYFL Senior division for South Kenton. Much better football than middle school football but that is a topic for another day.

I don't think there is a connection with the Cogswell from CCH but Brennan Gangwish is Justin's brother. Two different body types, two different positions. Brennan is extremely athletic with a strong arm. (His fastball is around 80mph at 13 years old). Both are tall.

Watch for Brennan Gangwish at QB and Clay Cogswell at RB for Simon Kenton this year. These two have played together for 2 years and they are gonna be good.

I like how the talk is all about Beechwood (Rightfully so. They are loaded.), Highlands (Gimme a break), and the blue Colonels. You all forget that Simon Kenton is a Northern Kentucky team. I know they play in a different region. So does Scott and Campbell County but wow!! Simon returns a lot and has a lot coming up. Don't leave them out of the mix. The team that they finished State Runner-Up with was not the best team but they peaked at the right time. The next 4 or 5 years they will have the best team, maybe in the state, behind Beechwood. It could be a Beechwood/Simon Kenton party in Lexington come June this year and next.

And I want NewCath to win the playoff game. How sad is that? Just stating the facts. If you NewCath fans don't like the facts then sorry about your luck.

I was trying to be as vague as possible so as to not point out the kid who was injured. It isn't a rumor. It is a fact. So I will retract the word rumored. NewCath is dirty. Period. No ifs ands or buts. Dirtiest team in Northern Kentucky by far. Period. I've seen every one of them and NewCath takes the cake. How is that for definitive?

Covington Holy Cross. They weren't good at all this year but he had a good season and has a lot of great tools.

Congrats!!! He may be playing next to a Northern Kentucky kid. Justin Gangwish 6'5" 270lb OL goes for his official visit in a few weeks to West Virginia State.

NCC is the biggest culprits of these tactics in the region. It was rumored that a player from an oopposing had to come out of the game vs. NCC in the 1st quarter and didn't return because of an injury inflicted to his eye by an NCC eye gouge. It is also well known that an opposing running back yelled on the field during the NCC game for them to quit grabbing his nuts. Newport should wear the armor.

NewCath in a rout!! I have seen both schools play and I have to say that I thought Newport had improved dramatically but after that debacle against a poor to mediocre Walton team I just don't have faith in them anymore. NewCath 49-14.

He wasn't double teamed as much as you think. LOL!!! I was watching that matchup all night. Maybe twice or three times at the most was he double teamed on a rollout play by the QB where the TE cracked back. Other than that #68 manhandled him all night long. He was double teamed on the other side when they moved him away from the beating he was taking on the right side by #68. Newport won't manhandle him like #68 did. They will just outrun him with their athleticism and speed. Latimore will get his no doubt but it won't be nearly enough. I've also seen Newport a few times this year and was actually at the Walton/Newport game early in the season. Newport is much better than they were early. Walton hasn't dramatically improved. I think that has to do with a very soft schedule. I will add on more points and say Newport wins 49-14. You've reassured me.

Not trying to be rude but it comes out that way. LOL!!! Walton is just not that good of a football team. There are good teams, mediocre teams, and bad teams. They are mediocre at best. This is a purely football statement. I have nothing against Walton. Just not impressed one bit. Newport is a better team IMO.

I was at the Walton/HC game last week and I will have to say that I was unimpressed. HC just simply can't tackle. Lattimore and Compton were good running the ball but who wouldn't be/hasn't been against that defense. Carr was owned all night long by #68 from HC and did NOTHING. Carr spent most of the evening on his back from being pancaked. Walton was so frustrated that they moved Carr to the other side of the line because he couldn't do anything. Newport will tackle and Newport will score. HC owned the clock too and just simply couldn't punch it in enough on top of the one play series that Walton kept getting and scoring at will on. Walton's defense is just not that good and they haven't played anybody to boot. If Newport doesn't blow them out big and Walton gets lucky, NCC will. Newport wins 42-14.

Will Highlands be on the shirt? LOL!!!!

Justin Gangwish is rumored to be getting some looks from quite a few D1-AA schools and a couple small D1 schools. He is 6'5" and 270lbs and runs very well. You can't teach size and I think that's why he may be getting those looks. The team has obviously struggled so I think that may hurt him amongst other things. I guess we will see but that is the rumor I've heard.

That was not an onside kick. That was actually a squib kick gone awry because the kicker slipped on that thing they call a football field at Holmes. I know this to be a fact. Brossart was all up in arms, and rightfully so, because they thought it was an onside kick. It was not. End of discussion.

HHS has millions. CovCath has $200,000 from the Bengals so they can pay for turf to get driven through by Highlands. Oh how fitting for CovCath.

I am actually not a Holy Cross person and have no affiliation. I just pay close attention to the small schools and Holy Cross struck my fancy this year. That's not really paying off right now but we'll see if it does in districts. Same for NewCath but that's another conversation. I still stand firm on my disdain for CovCath. Always go with the underdog.

No sour grapes. No anger management needed. The truth is harsh but is necessary especially in this situation. Fo those of you bluebloods who don't like the truth being told about your not-so-fine institution. Sorry. In this case the rich get richer and the poor keep playing on dirt fields. It's just a shame that the school misrepresents itself as a religious institution when they obviously steal from the poor and fill their pockets.That "turf money" should go anywhere else but CovCath and Highlands.
