This is a very special day imo. It's awesome how the NKY community has come together and helped SK's senior night become a reality after the fire. I also loved hearing Christian Olmstead in the interview, what a great spokesman for the team!

 

Kind of puts a lump in my throat and I wish I could actually be there to see SK take the field wearing helmets from all those schools that lent a hand. Tonight they will be playing for all of NKY!

Thanks to all of those that have helped.

I think uk#1fan should make a t-shirt and wear it the rest of the season and it should have all 8 helmets on it from the teams that donated the equipment and he should have across the front of the t-shirt the name "NKY#1fan"

We rag on each other pretty good on here but it's neat to see the teams rise above us. Of course, we do set the bar low.

I will take some pictures of SK playing tonight.

That shows the class that all of those Donating schools has. Each of those programs, know what a special night Senior night is and what it means to those young men to play football on Friday Night. Great story, when most of the time you hear nothing but negative. Tugs at your heart.

Great to see the surrounding communities come together. These are kids..16, 17 year old boys that love playing the game that we all love to watch and it really is no surprise to see this from other teams to step up and help out when someone needs it. We can say what we want about another school or program but it all boils down to a group of young men getting to have their Sr. night like they deserve.

I think the sight of SK players rocking helmets from all over NKY is a great reminder to the students about how you help your neighbors.

 

It's not a surprise nor should it be a surprise that any and all schools stepped up to help. It's a human thing.

 

Kids (and some adults) get a great reminder.
