[ Finally, the last time Mayfield started a sophomore QB was the year BW came the closest to winning versus Mayfield. Those factors give hope to BW fans that this year could be different. MF QB now is playing more like J. Guhy did as a Junior...and we won state that year.

Not sure that BW realizes how Bright makes GOOD defenses look stupid. They know he's coming and still cant stop him. This is the best defense that I have seen at Mayfield in years and defense wins games. Our defense has caused bad/rushed throws by the opposing teams all year. BW has the monkey. 34-20 Mayfield.

if Caldwell lets it stay as close as this the Murray will win

If they keep Crider out of the end-zone and below 98 yards rushing THEN that will be the best front 7 they have seen all year.:sneaky:

As I stated before in this thread...and I was talking about the Pikeville prognostications....just stick with the game on front of you regarding your predictions....Pikeville....

We have Thanksgiving at Mcadonalds on the road in Mayfield and make the drive on Thanksgiving day. No player fatigue associated with the trip come game time....sorry, the trip wont he a factor.

I agree with you on Russ level of talent... They are the fastest team we faced this year. I do feel homefield throws this one Mayfields way...interesting till midway through the second...Mayfield pulls away after halftime. I like it 31-20 Mayfield

I think Mayfield is in a stride right now. I like the play calling and mixing it up . Were hurting teams from lots of different angles offensively right now and defensively...WOW...and a kicker that can win a game from 45 yards away....All I can say is Caldwell Co.. Enough said

The messenger has no website and if it did they would cover a loss to Graves County more than they would a win for Mayfield, if they would even mention Mayfield at all..

Gotta say I don't agree here. Great job? All I see he did was lead a talented yet undisciplined team to a lackluster performance and get beat in the first round with questionable play calls. I don't see that he did any dirty work..condoned his players PLAYING dirty? Ill give you that one... I'm guessing this was welcome news to the Mustang nation. At least the ones that I know anyway...

McCracken should have advanced in this one at home....until the coaching staff changes this will be the Mustangs story every year.

I think Bethlehem is pretty good and will likely put together a couple of drives but in the end, a steady dose of D line with our pass and run gets this one out of hand eventually. Wear your long-johns for this one!!

The point I have made on here before is that nobody making these predictions has seen both teams play...I cant imagine making a prediction on the finals (4 point loss by Mayfield) simply based on what folks say on this website and 5 games away to boot. Again..its more interesting to read about the matchups in front of you and maybe speculating about the next round but lets keep it there for now. So having said that...what about tonight?

If Alexander is out for McCracken and not lurking in the backfield it will be harder to disrupt the Manual pass game.

lets just talk about this when the time comes. Speculating 5 games from now isn't as much fun as a game at a time....we may all look back on this and say "man did we waste a lot of time on that discussion"

I bet everyone who is prognosticating about an outcome between Mayfield and Pikeville have not seen both teams play in person. Just making up stuff off of what's been posted to this site about both teams....anyone? I'm willing to bet that because there is 7 hours in between each team.

Being on the big stage takes any edge from anyone awestruck and there for the first time. That's all ill say.

BW may very well be good BUT Mayfield's margins of victories are nearly identical from last year. McCracken beat Mayfield this year by the same margin Mayfield beat them last year...1 point. And Mayfield slaughtered the 2A #1 team by a bigger margin than they beat Mayfield last year. Mayfield is 1 point away from a perfect regular season and that loss was to a very good McCracken team. Actually a McCracken team that was fully staffed when we played them. Morgan Alexander hasn't been on the field since Mayfield with and injury and I guarantee that makes a huge difference to that team. He's likely the best safety in west Ky and that's just one great player they have been down since Mayfield. So I cant go with your logic here when discussing Mayfield struggling and losing to a mediocre McCracken team..they were top 5 in 6A when they played Mayfield.

Lose one game and your done applies to everyone else in 1A too. Not just Mayfield.

Mayfield simply due to the fact they are very good this year. Better defense than last year if you can believe that and they just are comfortable in Bowing Green. Many on this team have been here 3 and 4 times and that counts for a huge edge.
