WOW. Everyone take a breath....I dont think that you can give Pikeville the trophy yet. Mayfield won last night by three (3) touchdowns with a lackluster offensive performance and shut out a top back in WKY from the endzone. From what I have seen, east side of the state doesnt play the competion the Mayfield does and that has shown that the last two years at WKU. One win doesnt make a school in the discussion in the top spot in 1A in any way shape or form unless they consistently have those caliber wins and play that caliber competition (ala Mayfield) all year long. just read that Belfry was without their #1 and #2 backs against Pikeville.....:idunno:

What a bunch of cheap shots thrown by Graves. Incredible display of poor sportsmanship. Add up all the intentional face-masks, the unsportsmanlikes ect and its at least a touchdowns worth of yardage. Graves Co was Mayfield's 12th man tonight!

Several players at Mayfield are being contacted by colleges at this time. Carman, Bacon, McCampbell that I have been told about. May be others.

That certainly isn't going as planned for him. I think I saw 2-16 receiving through three games... Playing QB? I don't see that happening at all. If it does, that would be a way to keep him out of harms way if there is some concern about Mayfield going after him. But then again, the way Mayfield is getting to quarterbacks lately, that's not a safe bet either.

Pressure will be coming at Graves QB and it looks like it doesn't matter which one they use they wont handle it well. Clearly Mayfield has handled good backs this year and will Friday night again. Mayfield wins this one 42-20

I think they will give Mayfield a game. Mayfield wont underestimate Graves like it sounds that they did with PT.

Murray executed well. The first drive almost took the entire 1st quarter and they scored on it. Kept Cards off the field. Mayfield adjusted well at halftime and came out strong. Reminded me of last years game. Mayfield had a hard blow today with the tragic loss of a classmate this morning. The focus had to be tough... They fought through it though.

Nice final drive by the Cardinals tonight. Nice play call to Bacon on 3rd down at the end to finish it off. 3 passing touchdowns tonight no rushing touchdowns...very versatile team.

Graves sounds pretty one dimensional....with the Murray team I saw tonight...Graves is lucky not to be 0-3

Best Game of the year IMO. Mayfield got what it needed from that game going forward...to have to reach down that deep so early in the year is awesome. MCHS wont have to play that hard the rest of the regular season and that's saying more for Mayfield than anyone else.
