Final

Congrats, Cardinals.

All Cards

All Night!

I was a little worried for a minute, but the cards pulled out a good win. I thought pt looked better when they opened up the offense a little. Lots of penalties in this game. I'm sure pt fans will complain, but I thought the refs were pretty bad both ways. Not sure if its just me or not, but it seems like this rivalry is really losing some excitement. Crowd was kinda blah, and it seemed like both teams were a little flat. I don't know, maybe it's just me! Looking forward to another game with the tigers from Murray now. GO BIG RED!

Oh yeah, Trajan bright continues to impress me more every week, and last week when I said lane Kennemore going out hurt us against McCracken, somebody responded "who?" (Which I'm sure was sarcastic)................. 3 receiving td's tonight. He's pretty good.

Very nice win for the Cards.

I was thinking that the Tilghman@Highlands game in a couple of weeks was going to be a good one, but after this..........

I'll disagree on the officiating. It was spot on tonight, all were legitimate calls. Just a lot of sloppy play on both sides. These zebras kept the game moving without lenghty delays for discussion. Mayfield's O line just whipped PT up front, big holes for the backs all night. Tight game at the half, but the coaching staff proved why they are the best in the region, other than the long breakaway run, PT had little success in the 2nd half. This scheme just does not seem to fit PT and their athletes. A bland offense and Tilghman were just words that were never heard in the same sentence.

The little ole sophomore QB is starting to come around and is ahead of both Luke and Jake Guhy when they were sophomores. A concern heading into the season was the line but it is proving to be just fine week after week. Bright is living up to the family name and reputation every week. For a rebuilding or retooling year at the M, things sure feel very very right. I think it could be a top 10 all time special season if we continue to improve.

Very nice win for the Cards.

I was thinking that the Tilghman@Highlands game in a couple of weeks was going to be a good one, but after this..........

I take this as a slam on Mayfield

I take this as a slam on Mayfield

Hardly, just the opposite,

Tilghmans still a good ball club. Mayfield pulled away late with some nice adjustments, but, PT had some good moments in this game. Score a little misleading. Was 26-21 late in 3rd and PT with some momentum, but, the Cards slammed the door from there out.

Trajon Bright just turned 15 this week, he had over 190 yrds rushing against PT. He is on his way to being a super star.

Get this, last Saturdays Paducah sun headline says McCRAKEN CO. DOMINATES MAYFIELD, a one point victory. Today's headline on front page is, MAYFIELD TOPS TILGHMAN IN RIVALS 101st GAME, a 26 point victory. Am I missing something here? Got to chuckle on that one!

Trajon Bright ran 25 times for 193 yards. Last night was his birthday. He just turned 15.

Jordan Tyler had 14 rushes for 107 yards. Lane Kennemore caught 5 passes for 98 yrds and 3TD.

QB Landon Arnette went 11-for-13 passing for 174 yards with an interception.

Don't forget that tackle Landon made on that lineman, that was sick!! I love it when we have tough QB's like that.

Reflection this morning

O Line has really been a surprise, I thought we would be okay but the line play is going to be a strength again this year. The offseason work of this group is showing on the field.

QB play, Arnett is still going to make some mistakes but he is a good game manager and is starting to develop a vertical game. With the backs we have, having a vertical game is a lethal combination. I did not expect Arnett to have progressed this fast

Trajon, Trajon, Trajon! what a special talent, we all knew he would be a great one but who could have ever expected him to be this good this soon

Lane Kennemore, he is just a special athlete on both sides of the ball

The sophomores, several in key rolls and all are making an impact. Great job by the sophomore linebackers

McCampbell and Hernadez have both been steller

Herndon, what a weapon. Kickoffs to the end zone, field goal range to +40

The coaches, I was worried about our offense with the departure of Hatchell. I have always felt Joe was too old schoolish and conservative to call the offense but he and David Morris have been stellar. On defense Dew is always a step ahead of everybody

This is shaping up to be a very special group in a year I was not so sure about

The M has a really good shot at 11 if the first 3 games are any indication
