First the Big 3 has the Purples dead to rights and now poor ole BG can’t beat Apollo. Hate to hear it.

Barber played and he played well. I know there is some surprise about the score, but Greenwood has a solid defense and some nice players. They played a great game.

Owensboro might hang 60 on MNH.

Poor BG will have to try and limp in the playoffs and hopefully not get pummeled by this big 3 you speak of. Other teams can rest easy!

I don't see them scoring Friday unless it's on backups either, I fear.

I’ll defer to you on the body of the work, simply because I’m unfamiliar with their personnel. I just don’t think citing one individual comparative score, regardless of which 5A team it is, will garner much of an evaluation. However, it’s so nice to talk about new blood in the top 10 though. I honestly hope they are competitive with the top. Makes for a better 5A.

Comparative scores are really tough to look at in this class. Results are everywhere and you could draw a lot of conclusions.

You can’t possibly go for it there. Or can you? That felt like the game.

I know X was without their QB, but I was shocked at how Boyle County's OL / DL controlled the line of scrimmage against X.

I love how Juggsports put this together on a random Saturday evening but for whatever reason the KHSAA can’t invest enough time to meet their own deadline. ?

Short answer: yes, there is a good chance they finish below .500….and I think they can win the state championship.

Loved the effort. All you can ask for is to have the ball with a chance to win. Credit to CAL’s defense they are a great unit. I leave this game feeling better about the Purples. Hopefully we can build on this going forward! Go Purples!

He has had his hat in the ring for a few jobs over the past couple of years. I know he applied to Barren when the job was open before they hired Myers back in 2023-24, also interviewed for Glasgow & Meade Co. this past offseason.

I think it's worth mentioning that these "somebodies" that they have played/are losing to aren't exactly minced meat. Outside of Scott County in a regular season road game (which was very competitive), there are few, if any, examples of Bowling Green losing to in class competition like @Cmurph06y mentioned outside of the thumpers that have left the class. The reality is there is only one more "prove it" game by competition standards after this week for BG and that is Franklin County in week 10. I don't know how much we will learn about who BG really is (healthy or not) until the playoffs.

I don't disagree; it was more talking about the Purples than it was the others. To be clear, I'm not upset with it by any means. Just makes me wonder what the rest think.

I think 6 is a little generous for BG, especially if you're telling me Scott County is 7. Oh well, polls are just polls. It'll play out.

I guess I’m just not as surprised. Obviously not what you want, but at the end of the day.. Bowling Green, for all intensive purposes, has 14 year old kids out there playing against 18 year old men in most games. Throw in the injuries they’ve had, which is no excusing the result - South Warren is tough and was completely the better team - but you are going to get lopsided results when you play big boy football in those circumstances. Next week is a get right week. Can’t do anything about it now. I do hope this feeling sticks and resonates with this bunch though, the standard is still the standard and we know this is falling short. Onward.
