As a rule of thumb, I agree completely. However, if what is being reported in here is true, and I think it is, that administration outright lied to the second best option during the hiring process...can you really blame him for not wanting to work for someone like that? That's a huge red flag and hard to go to work for someone every day that you already know you can't trust.

I’ve always thought that if you’re forcing someone out, it’s to try and place someone in. In this case, if that’s true, I can tell you that it’s been a failed mission. I wonder if Jackson Arnett’s phone is burning up right now…

I wonder what happens if Arnett turns them down after all this. If Griffin really is staying at Hart this feels like a completely fumbled process.

I’m a little lost at where we are at in the process after the last several posts. Is Glasgow going to get either Griffin or Arnett period? Or has the whole thing been botched? It sounded like a done deal and now it seems not cut and dry at all.

Certainly. Rick Wood is a legend. Just pointing out that it’s not the first time there’s been something in the water with Glasgow during the hiring process.

Welp… that’s convenient! I didn’t think he was on an elite tier for Douglass but he was more than serviceable. I’m interested to see what he looks like with the offense.

The whole situation is so Glasgow it hurts. They had a worse debacle IMO when hiring Rick Wood back in 2010. Different AD, Principal, and Superintendent … but same lackluster and shady approach.

All Glasgow has done from a facility standpoint is put lipstick on a pig. I agree with @VF111, Glasgow has gotten complacent in every aspect of their program. Hart County has better facilities, not to mention how far they are behind Barren county. I also believe the pay scale is behind Barren and Hart.

Maybe this. He built Hart from the ground up and is reaping the benefits of his and his staff's investments currently. They've lost two games in two years. It would be hard for me to see him bouncing after he is just recently getting to see the fruition of the program.

Certainly! In terms of strictly game planning you could argue Button is much tougher to prepare for. He has a complete set of skills when you combine his feet with his arm. But I will stand by the comment of in terms of strictly as a natural passer that O'hara threw the best ball (IMO) and that's not meant to be a slight at all.

Great day to be a Bowling Green Purple! Not that BG needed it, but this was a big win for their culture. Doubt the Purps at your own peril. I think Coach Spader's comments to the BG Daily News gave some perspective for how they felt through this week. “I am not one to look at a lot of media and press myself, but our kids really felt like we were ignored coming into the game,” Spader said. “There was a juggernaut of a Cooper team that we had great respect for and it was just assumed that they were going to mow over us. It motivated our team. I talked about their inconsistencies in their run defense quite a bit, but it was evident that the line play they had struggled with in previous games didn't hold much water when comparing to Cooper. To put it bluntly, I expected more in this game from them in terms of their physicality. In a game full of dominant skill players, the LOS deemed to be most critical on both sides. That is how championship football in December is typically won. I am hoping Cam O'hara's injury is not serious and that he is healthy and ready to go for the coming season. In terms of a passer, he was undoubtedly the best they came across this season. He is a great talent. I said it before and still do have a great respect for Cooper and their following on here. Even with the results being what they are, they've got an outstanding program established by their continuity in leadership. I have no doubt that they will be back again. Go Purples!
