#10 for Covcath could play varsity. That kid has some talent. That Cooper team that showed up was not the same team that played Highlands last week. As with Freshmen though it's sometimes difficult to predict what you're going to get.

Final was 18-16. Highlands took a 10 point lead after half. Cooper scored the go ahead TD with 30 seconds left.

This is about what I expected. I think I said 42-14 in the prediction thread..

NCC played a really good game. They have a very nice QB and WR who connected on multiple deep pass plays. Cooper showed flashes but ultimately had bad turnovers or gave up big plays that lost them the game. Really good crowd on hand, and with the view from the hill it would be awesome if NCC developed that into a stadium one day.

First off let me say, as myself being a former coach from Cooper, I have tremendous respect for Coach Burnett and I think he is a class act. He knows the entire game and always gives great "food for thought." I'm assuming he left because of the travel to Cooper but those are my words and not his. He lives right next door to Beechwood so he can walk to practice everyday. As a coach it's always very easy to let the game take your life over but I'd say the best lesson he taught me as a young coach was that you should never let this game come before your real family.

My personal opinion. This will be the fastest of the state championship games. Running clock before half.

IMO SK will be just as good next year. As long as that QB is there they will be fine. Plus they have done a great job of building that team up over the years.

I could see him playing at a smaller school, the kid works harder than anyone and has a great attitude. Not sure if he has the size for the bigger schools but with today's trend of faster, smaller players it's possible.

With this being my first year not involved with Cooper since its birth, yes that's exactly how the field works. If it rains on Monday, everything around the field drains to the field. It wasn't a good design but it's what Cooper was given and they show up to play on it and don't complain. Turf has made people spoiled. Football is a game that you play on the elements, if it rains, get muddy, if it snows, you're going to be cold. Stop complaining about conditions, strap up, and play.

Congrats to SK for advancing. Cooper Jags, you had a great year! Senior class be proud of what you accomplished while you were a Jaguar!

I thought that this was a Cooper/SK thread.... Didn't see Trinity mentioned in the title. As for this game, I am pulling for Cooper to take it. Defense will have to play stout and they won't be able to make any big mistakes. SK is a great team but they are beatable. I'll take the Jags in this one!
