I still don't understand what the big deal is. They moved up, I'm not seeing why as adults, we have to get on here and complain about it.

I think a parent can coach if they are staying impartial. Like has previously been stated, I'm definitely NOT hearing any "daddy ball" issues out of Ryle. If the kid is legit good enough to play, they would play. I seriously doubt Engler would come into Ryle and let the same kind of things go on that went on before he was there.

Lol this whole thread is hilarious. The Morgan kid transferred from Ryle originally, didn't he? To say he's playing because of his dad is hilarious. His dad did take him to different schools but he ultimately ended up at Ryle where all of his old friends are. Can't blame the kid. Can't call it daddy ball of the dad isn't coaching...

If we are talking tandems.. I believe between Cordell and Jackson at Cooper they had over 2,000 rushing.

He was a situational defender. Mostly offense/Return Duties.

I am pretty sure for the Head Coaches it rotates. Last year it was Marksberry on one side and Poynter on the other. I think Rash from Beechwood will be a head coach this year and I'm not sure who from the other side will be. It should be starting up here soon.

Practices typically start in June. That's about what I know.

Which you are entitled to have, as we all are. And I'm not going to discredit SK. They are a very well coached, well rounded team. I just don't think you can always use last years results for this years games.

So I guess that just shows that what happened in the past in head to head doesn't really matter.

Since we're going back in time why don't we look at how Cooper and Conner did against those teams in 2012.

Man Highlands has come a long way since I played baseball. I remember they used to not be that good.

They were also down one of their top 2 D-linemen, a safety, a LB, and I believe but I may be wrong another player on the defense. Pigskin can probably tell you who it was.

They were going to have to move up anyway. I don't see the point in staying in 5A. And it's not like Cooper is dodging Highlands, they are still playing them in the regular season. They moved up because their numbers were going to reflect a 6A school sooner than later. And if you know anything about Borchers, he is always up for the challenge as per Coopers schedule the past few years.

You do realize that enrollment at Cooper has grown so much that they have had to add onto the school? When they went into 5A they knew that they were only going to be there for 4 years.

And I guarantee if you were to ask Marksberry he would disagree with you. SK was a solid team last year. As was Cooper. Cooper was also down quite a few players that game. But hey, I know there isn't going to be anything to convince you so no reason to argue it.

I'd say more like Male and Trinity and not so much St. X. Either way it's a lose lose. The only way you're winning is if you get into 4A where Johnson Central is your toughest opponent on the road to state.

Dixie dropped to 5A where they will probably finish 3rd every year with Highlands and CovCath there.

One thing you know about Cooper. Borchers and staff have them ready every Friday. When they show up, they let their playing do the talking.
