Final

Any details?

Final was 18-16. Highlands took a 10 point lead after half. Cooper scored the go ahead TD with 30 seconds left.

Cooper is well coached and has very tough players and athletes.

Can a mod fix the score?

Didn't get to see the game but got a detailed report. It looks and sounds like both teams tonight have bright futures. Two good freshman teams out there tonight that played a heck of a game

Cooper RB Erik Wright is going to be very very good! Extremely fast and powerful runner. Congrats to the entire Jags team on the big win!

Big win for the Jags.

It was 8-6 at the half. Highlands went up 16-6 late in the 3rd on a pick 6, not sure who picked it. Cooper scored to make it 16-12 Highlands with about 5 minutes left in the game. Highlands could get nothing going on offense and a fake punt came up 2 yards short at about midfield. Cooper came up with big 3rd and 4th down plays when they needed them, Highlands put them on the 5 yard line with a roughing penalty with 55 seconds left. 3 plays later Cooper punches it in. Highlands tried 3 long passes, all failed to connect, game over. Highlands lacked fire after the first drive, Cooper played a heck of a game.

Goid sign for the future. I've heard good things about Coopers RB's

Couldn't agree more and there's a real special one on the Union Jags 8th grade middle school feeder team as well. The future is bright for the young Jags.

Very entertaining game to see. Highlands went right down the field the first Drive of the game to score to go up 8 to 0, but that ended being their only offensive td. Cooper scored to make it 8 to 6 to go into half. The score stayed the same until the 4th quarter when Highlands had a pick 6 to go up 16 to 6. Cooper went right back down the field to score to make it 16 to 12. Highlands went for a fake punt on their 50 with 3 minutes to go and it got stopped. Cooper went down and scored a td with 28 seconds left to win it.

It was two very good teams out there tonight. Highlands has a lot of talent especially the number 10. Cooper also has a lot of talent and had quite a few guys have huge games. Cooper played a much better game after killing themselves with 6 turnovers last week. I expect both teams to go on to have very successful seasons, as the talent on both sides of the field were evident tonight. It was two great programs going at it tonight.

Can anyone elaborate more on the fake punt. Also the 4th and whatever play near end of game when two defenders were standing between the 5 yard line and the goal line leaving middle of field open.

On the fake punt Highlands punted tried to run for it but was a yard short. Not sure what the other play youre talking about.

CovCath has Cooper next week. That should be a good one to see.
