  1. I don't know if they allow the temp lights in post season. If I recall they caused issues in the past when the were allowed
  2. True. High school sports in general is about representation and participation, not outright competition.
  3. This is a ridiculous argument... not just this post but the whole thing.
  4. Mark this day, someone said the ref helped CCH
  5. I am. Thank you for noticing. I figured I would stay on this topic to be around people like myself.
  6. I actually have plenty. But that comes from having spoken to a referee friend of mine while I was at the JV final. After I found out who the ref was your comments became useless to me. I'll be honest, the only reason I am being as hostile as I am is because the first post on this topic was a prime example of why we have no refs and and you never will have the quality that everyone expects. You had a referee go down hurt in a game, then people take to the internet to cower behind their screen names and accuse that person of cheating by giving a "gift" PK. Because I'm sure this was the way the person wanted to spend their Saturday. Driving down to Pendleton County to ref soccer, get hurt, and then yelled at by the Einsteins that are soccer fans. Please...
  7. Oh yeah, your witty responses are just expanding my mind to the truth.
  8. This story gets better and better.
  9. Sounds like it wasn't a foul then
  10. Indeed, that's why most try not to commit fouls in the box.
  11. Really? You're that bitter?
  12. Not saying the ball didn't go in but it is possible for the net to move and the ball still not have crossed the line/post. Extremely unlikely but physically possible. Oh well, karma rights a possible wrong.
  13. I'm not sure I see the fields as being ridiculously small like people are saying. When you get right down to it you probably have anywhere from u14 up to u17 players playing on the field at any given time. Yes these are smaller fields than most full sized high school fields but they aren't that bad. Heck I can remember soccerama being held there in the past.
  14. I meant immediate retaliation I wasn't thinking fallout in the sense of disciplinary actions. Racial slurs and the like. I certainly don't think that was the case last night. Believe it or not it still does happen in soccer games though. Sad.
  15. Basically if dissent is arguing strongly with a call to where it is excessive. Foul and abusive can be the that plus adding some extra colorful words, or just straight up unacceptable things to say in public. Im pretty sure she was just colorfully disagreeing. The other things usually have more fallout.
  16. Didn't look like it was for a tackle. Looked like something was said to the ref. As to ball, sounded and looked like they actually had them inflated properly for once. That said, both teams look like they have some weak spots to be exploited. Still not sure NDA would win if they met again.
  17. If a program doesn't have enough players to field a JV and Varsity program without cross pollination then that is outside their control. Excluding them from the JV tournament for that would be the definition of elitist attitude and completely spit in the face of the whole goal of school sports, which is participation.
  18. Open the freezer and thaw the horse. Time to start the beating.
  19. It basically happened on the girls side of soccer a few years ago. While St Henry was the big school state champ, Lex Christian was the runner up. Roles were reversed for the all A championship.
  20. No idea. But if you feel that way I know they let anyone come on board to participate.
  21. Agreed but if these type of comments were being thrown about I would hope the opposing coach and refs would have reported this if. If nothing else.
  22. So if a player gets a card almost every time he plays when does it stop being a ref issue and a player issue?
  23. The day they have enough referees is the day there is no one left in the stands.
  24. Were people really questioning if that was a PK?
  25. I'll agree with you here. I didn't see much griping about the loss to highlands.
