How about some details YC. I have noticed the scoring for Cooper has been coming from more players this season, bodes well for them heading into tournament play. My guess is most teams are focused on ASnow, and for good reason and this is opening things up for others?

GPR... I'll stick with the positives....

 

Cooper was able to get the win and also give several players some extended minutes last night. Cornforth was able to notch his first goal of the season, Richardson got his second, Workman his fourth and Max Zorn chipped in with 3 assists.

 

On the Boone side, Liam Gillespie was able to get Boone on the scoreboard late in the match, it was a really nice finish by him.

OTB84, sounds like you may attend auto races for the wrecks, hockey games for the fights and political debates for the gaffes? No problem, lost of folks do this, your entertainment pleasure is your choice.

Unfortunately I was not there but from what I was told Cooper dominated the entire game. Snow had a hat trick in the first half and was pulled after a few minutes into the 2nd half because he was taking unnecessary hits. Most of the 2nd half was played with 4-5 Cooper starters on the bench.

The negative part I believe was the actions of Boones bench and some controversial comments made by their Coaches. Like I said I was not in attendance but from what I was told it was not appropriate and put a very dark umbrella over their program.

My son was a ball boy for a game against Boone on the Boone bench side and let's just say some of the coaches comments were very disturbing.

Can the comments be repeated? Just curious. Disturbing, as towards their own players or opposing players.

Maybe we could jump ahead and combine this with What Happened to Scott thread, just saying.

The comments being made by the Boone coach have no place in soccer. These comments were not being made to players but were being made while questioning the referees decisions. From the beginning of the game the coach was harassing the referees on every call they made and didn't make. At one point during the game an offsides call was made and the coach didn't like the call. He accused the referee of making the call due to the players skin color. I looked at the person sitting next to me and asked them if they heard the same thing I did and we both said that we must have misheard him. Why would a high school coach say something like that? I then talked to some of the players after they game and they confirmed that the coach was making these types of comments.

 

As a program who was making headlines earlier in the year about how many different nationalities they have, about how inclusive and accepting they are, the Boone coach has taken all of that and thrown it out the window.

Agreed but if these type of comments were being thrown about I would hope the opposing coach and refs would have reported this if. If nothing else.
