  1. Don't watch much soccer then do you? Kidding of course. But based on the description it's hard to give any opinion. Just from the descriptions though. If the keeper came out to play the ball but didn't and ended up colliding with an opponent I don't think the call can be that surprising.
  2. My point was that adding any games to the weekdays is going to be frowned upon and almost impossible. They cover the weekends because people don't have work and last I went it is mostly two man. I like your sentiment but adding games to weeknights is not likely to happen.
  3. Never gonna happen. My understanding is they can barely cover the games as is. Add freshman to the weeknights and for get about it.
  4. fat chance in upgrading those fields any time soon. BC board or ed dug that grave years ago for any that know that story.
  5. Man, this rabbit hole is huge, how did I miss it. I have to be more careful. Does anyone else smell a dead horse?
  6. I don't. But I know they cheated and should be ashamed. Sorry I think I was channeling the spirits of discussions past. ?
  7. There it is. I knew that rabbit hole was around here somewhere.
  8. Don't know them off the top of my head but Khsaa used to have a stats section that listed that info.
  9. Give me some credit. There are legitimately some people that agree with your original statement.
  10. Let's clarify, they stated that two starters had reds. Does that mean in this game or they are serving suspensions for them. Regardless your statement is still nonsense, multiple red cards doesn't make it the refs fault.
  11. You also have the other side of the coin and in my opinion the more common thing. Refs would give a second yellow instead of a straight red in order to seem like the nice guy and lessen the punishment. Which shouldn't factor into their decisions whatsoever.
  12. There are lists of certain violations that are direct kicks, and a list of others which are indirect. I believe there are 10 direct ones and they are most of the fouls involving contact, no matter how slight.
  13. If it is a Direct Free Kick foul in the box then you get a PK. If it is an indirect free kick foul in the box it is just an indirect free kick.
  14. I think that might be up to 3 games now. Can't recall though. Been a while since someone posted about it. Can't check the DQ list anymore either
  15. And...? Why not dissect the game either? Who cares if people disagree?
  16. I am really hesitant to say anything on this thread but let me play devils advocate here. 1st I like the mercy rule. It lets games get over and have kids get home at a decent hour. Obviously at some point it would become rubbing their faces in it though. Second, for those that say put the JV in, what if you do and they start to destroy the other team. What now? Play keep away and risk further embarrassing or angering the other team? Which can lead to retaliation play and injury. Just something to think about
  17. I know but I always laugh when coaches and players make that sort of statement. Inherently they are always the ones that try to pull shady crap too.
  18. Well good for him but it's the teams that jump on every mistake they can find from the refs and every loophole they can think of to try and game the system. If you pay close attention in the MLS red cards get overturned every once and awhile because the wrong terminology is used on the game report.

  20. Are you asking someone to know what the exact visibility and weather conditions were at umteen sites at any given moment during the night? Could be a number of things. Lightning unseen, coaches agreed to stop because it was 2nd half radar showed more coming. Rather than speculate ask the coaches if it was that important.
  21. First off delay of game isn't a thing in soccer. It is delay of restart because it can only happen during a dead ball. Second, and this is how it was explained to me. The reason it is DR is when you get the scuffles over the ball, because let's face it the team that was scored on doesn't want you digging around in their goal. They are delaying the restart by the ensuing scuffle. Also it isn't their ball. The kick belongs to the other team. It actually makes perfect sense when you have it explained.
  22. So I'm curious, shinguards were mentioned initially but then no details what was the deal there?
  23. You see or hear it you stop. Doing anything else is tempting fate and well being. This isn't the pros it's High school. Get over it.
  24. the card has to be written for that. It's the proper reason. Just like in FIFA grabbing the ball as the scoring team and rushing it to the center after a goal is delaying the restart. I remember missing that in a ref class.
