  1. Omg I'm busting out the good popcorn for this one.
  2. 1 to 1 going into sudden victory now.
  3. Whatever else happens in this game Hegerty just scored the goal of the year. 35 out, outside of the foot half volley bends to inside top corner. Filthy.
  4. I guess it's because I wasn't at that game but I remember Campbell had one of the nicer grass fields in the area.
  5. You share. Where is my popcorn?
  6. Would it have mattered anyway? Either way it is a back up keeper. Was CCH going to change their tactics. Did they really have much to fear from the weakened Scott team regardless of where Morgan was playing. Groinpull it is apparent you are pretty salty over something because you decided to pick two irrelevant events and make them the focus of this thread. Did Morgan "flop"? Who cares, it was one goal. If he got one successful call out of it that night then I'd say the rest of the game probably shows the true nature of what was and wasn't being called. Did he wear a keeper jersey before the game? Again who cares? Maybe they really did intend on playing him until they realized they would rather have a better scoring chance than a slightly better back up keeper. All in all the score line shows it was all irrelevant. Everyone needs to let it go.
  7. No card. You don't get anything from giving the card. This is by far the most common sense heavy card in the game. Team that is down 8-0 kicks a ball away, card? No way unless it is in dissent. Player kicks a ball as the whistle is blowing, card? No. You have to be there.
  8. To a point yes. Even if they approach and the kicking team kicks the ball into them after the defender "sets" themselves then that is on the kicker. The attackers can't force the card here.
  9. Basically correct. The attacking team takes a quick kick but has to assume the risk of what they see. If they take a kick and the defender is close they knowingly do so. In the ussf classes they said the defender can go sideways or back to get the ball but not forward. They showed a really good video that made it make a lot of sense a few years ago but I don't know how to get it.
  10. Mmm smells like that time of year again. Did anyone ever write those official rules for this tournament again?
  11. Agree with this. Whatever people want to believe of the Scott team of last year all evidence this year is that this is not the same team. A red card for a goal scoring opportunity is not the same as was prevelant last year. If khsaa wants to impose sanctions for "quitting" the game then fine but look at them as their own incident. They have little if anything to do with last year.
  12. Oh I guarantee there is video. It will never come forward though because no one is willing to be judged when it comes to soccer.
  13. No one is belittling Scott like I think you want to believe. I think everyone would be asking the same question no matter what team did this. Soccer teams up and leaving a game is unheard of and is never looked well upon by the governing body. In this instance the khsaa.
  14. Unfortunately that could be the perception
  15. Called the game? I hate to say it but knowing the khsaa if this was a case of deciding not to want to play anymore then there could be penalties. Hopefully not in any case.
  16. And the scoreboards. Fancy fancy scoreboards.
  17. Long story but essentially a certain famous alumni that made it to the NFL wanted to donate to help them get it and the idea was poo pooed.
  18. Lets be honest. Soccer teams are just not allowed to tear up the football fields. That would be unfair to the poor football players. "Whistles innocently"
  19. Agreed. That was a pretty bold statement for so little detail. Seems like the ref would have had a lot of work to do in the last three minutes.
  20. That all comes from a certain soccer organization not wanting to sanction their adult league. We asked one of our instructors about it once and he was less than pleased.
  21. Agreed but I think it is all a dream. Club soccer is a cash cow and they have the luxary to pay for such things and demand the quality. High school soccer is a black sheep in KY and simply does not have the resources to develop refs like ussf.
  22. I think there is some sort of system because when I got an email from our ussf instructor this summer I think his signature had some sort of level listed on it for his high school license. I'd be lying if I told you I knew what it meant though.
