Coaching Staff did a great job of getting the girls mentally prepared to play a physical game today. The girls did a fantastic job of controlling the ball, and tempo of the game. Pandas' are a very good team, however, the ladybirds had their ticket today, and it showed. Have a great time tonight celebrating the win, for tomorrow you need to get ready for Dixie. Great job by all !

I don't suspect the "haters" are going to comment on the win as they didn't comment when HHS had the bad loss at Campbell earlier in the year. Wins and losses are not their issue.

 

Highlands played with much more energy and simply out hustled the Pandas. It was an impressive effort by HHS. Birds were up 2-0 at half. Goals by Dougherty and Meyer. NDA closed the gap to 2-1 with a goal by Watts with 20 minutes to play. Meyer netted her second goal of the day a few minutes later to close out the scoring.

 

Meyer #10 from HHS & Tierney #7 from NDA each had great games.

It's amazing..... all that is ever mentioned regardless of wins or loses is; the haters, the Coach, and "The Issue". If I'm not correct, everybody that matters {H.H.S. School Officials} performed all necessary due-diligence, as it relates to investigating "The Issue". Apparently, they {H.H.S. Officials} were satisfied with the results of their findings. That said, why can't "the haters" let it go, since most of "the haters" don't even have kids in the system anymore, and weren't privy to the facts, or not, that was discovered, or not. My goodness, this Coaching Staff is changing the mentality of this program, from years of mediocrity. For all of this change, the only thing that is consistently brought-up on this thread is; "the haters, the Coach, and the Issue". What about the kids ? I have an idea, why don't "the haters" band together, and start their own blog..... they can call it; "We I Don't Like Anything That Happens, Unless We Say It's OK, When We Say It's OK". Move on people, neither the Coaches, or the Girls care what you think, or what you have to so ! THEY are the ones putting in all the hard work & effort. Stinks doesn't it. Have a drink, or two tonight, and take a deep breath. Tomorrow is a new day.

WOW, back in the day NDA would always be up HHS, one of those games the coaches could basically just roll the ball out and let them play, no motivational speech required. Doesn't sound like this was the case today. Could likely see a rematch in the Regional, would expect a different result.

 

And for the HHS (current) supporters, I can't figure out why you are upset and worried about your in-house HHS "haters", sit back relax and enjoy this victory, you don't get many Vs NDA.

Good win for the staff and kids at HHS. I am sure it was a tough game like every Highlands vs NDA. Turning out to be a great end of the season.

Why do you and others continue to want to make it look like this is a young team? Look at the grade of kids out there! It is actually a very good mix of SR and Jr with a couple sophs and two fresh. Posters want to continue to think it is all about playing time and it is not. It is about getting best players on the field regardless of class and connections. Big difference in todays game was the substitution patterns. Instead of 3,4,5,6 players subbed in every 4 mins, he subbed minimally and let players get into the flow of the game. Still think some players on bench are better than who he starts, but much better on the substitution, you can not take out 4,5,6 of top players at same time and not expect a drop. And upper class played huge roll in todays game. Had a SR start on D for first time like many have wanted and play very well, another SR saw a little more time on Offense today who has been ridding the bench, Two other SR starters (one on D one on O), Jr goalie who had a great game, Jr Forward who played 110% at all times and beat goalie to a ball and then able to make nice assist to Meyer who scored on open net. Sr forward who hustled to get in the box and pull goalie out of position to allow Meyer a good open shot for her second goal. JR center/mid who always is top player. Soph defender is always tops. Jr outside defense is very fast and great weapon. So how is this team young? As for the freshmen, one is very good and should be starting and playing a lot of mins. The other freshman is good and going to be very good in a year or two but still a little green, in my opinion sees a little too much playing time at this point for the talent sitting on the bench. This was a big win for HHS and should help build confidence. I have been saying HHS has the talent to compete with anyone in NKY. As for ND, I was surprised in the drop in talent I saw in them this year, much slower at most positions this year.

question for ND fans sitting at their end of stands. On HHS first goal the side ref was totally out of position and it looked like the HHS player was 1 to 2 player lengths off sides on the play where she scored.
