It was July 14 only. Outside the dead period and before the official start date when you have to count scrimmages etc at camps and events. UL has run into that at their HS team camp. They played games at it a few years ago and the Louisville HS that went never counted those as scrimmages. Because once July 15 hit even a 3v3 game would count as a scrimmage.

Activities before July 15 don’t count and haven’t for 20 years. Similar to O Cath 7v7 tournament, WKU camp, Centre Camp And UK camps. All those camps teams play 3-5 full sided 11v11 games.

Those games were played on July 14. Similar to WKU and centre camp games.

The KHSAA DQ list had 2 Highlands coaches getting red cards at the game.

Ballard is playing in 2 tournaments this week. Busy week for 6 games.

Did any other team take their players from the field with their equipment and put them back on their bus...before their game started? No team did this...let the rumor mill spin a story.

There were no players crying. That is crazy and it was one sided heated exchange. If you have any questions about the incident go ask the SK coach directly. He will inform you.

NDA and West Jessamine both looked very good. It was an entertaining game.

Might want to find out what the Dixie coach said as he cursed at the SK staff in ear shot of the players.

Thoughts on entertaining games the first week of the season.

West clermont has one very good player and a okay Gk. The rest will be sub par.

SK might have one of the top freshman in the city or KY on their boys varsity.

Who and when is your favorite team scrimmaging?

Maybe 2 classes work but remember there are some regions right now that have 4-5 teams only competing in the entire region.

Portland is a district game. Some folks want to play those regardless of score.

Jcps as a district mandates some inter jcps games and coaches/teams have no way around it. No matter how bad the game is.

It was fun watching the boys play and the talent on the field for their game was exciting to watch. Smith and Snow both represented KY in a top notch way and were a big part of their teams 4-4 draw. (Snow with a goal which was nasty and Smith in the back).
