  1. Educational guardianship and many ways. I think you should send your kid wherever you want and the place that is best for them. Open enrollment is the best.
  2. You don't have to live in a county to attend school there. Many school districts accept students from other districts for a small fee.

  4. NCC vs Anderson Co Simon Kenton vs West Jessamine Highlands vs. Scott
  5. List when, where, and who your team scrimmages this preseason?
  6. It was the Owensboro Cath 2 team but a good weekend for your daughters team. Mercer County has been making waves in many sports.
  7. She was a starter at Highlands and 3rd leading scorer.
  8. Schedules are posted. Any good match ups?
  9. Schedules posted? Any good match ups?
  10. Think you have to add Angela Jefferson into the discussion on the Bracken Lady Polar Bears. 5 year point guard survived terrible coaching.
  11. For the Lady Bears you have to include Angela Jefferson. 5 year starter at the point and one of the best in the program's history.
  12. Anyone have any companies in the NKY/Cincy area that film soccer games? Please share if you know of a good company.
  13. who cares why a kid moves school. Why is everyone out to punish the kid? If she wants to move and sports are important to her, why would you not want to see her play. I think parents and kids have those rights to be in the best situation for their kid and family. Maybe she was bullied, maybe she was unhappy, maybe there is something even more personal there, I hope she thrives at HHS and enjoys her last year. Remember wants to win but not at the expense of sitting kids for a whole year.
  14. If you are adding in weight training, speed/agility, yoga, and individual skill work during off season training it is a great way to improve individual players. Many players do not have time to do lots of this during club season so it can be beneficial with out over using kids, especially if their clubs are not doing the play 2-3 games every weekend cycle like some do. More games is not best, more training and less games is a better model.
  15. A number of these programs do workouts before school so their premier players can still attend all of their club stuff.
  16. Sacred Heart, Assumption, and Simon Kenton did workouts most of the winter and spring. Tates Creek, Owensboro Cath and west Jessamine have also had a number of workouts. This is also common with Lakota East, Mason and others in Cincy.
  17. Summer workouts are good to keep players sharp until tryouts especially ones that don't advanced to USYSA Regionals or ECNL nationals. That way those kids are playing and getting touches. I think most coaches like to see some of the new kids that might be in their program earlier. Most of the top 10 teams in kentucky are doing workouts during the winter and all spring to give their kids more than the normal 2-3 days a week of club soccer.
  18. What is the standard with your program?
  19. I don't think that is common practice with coaches and yes not playing for an academy team or at one of the big 3-4 clubs in the tri-state area makes a difference in development. The number of better athletes are few and far between on the girls side so playing on one of the best team around vs. the 15th or 16th team around the speed of training is different, quality of training surface, opponents, etc. Definitely impacts development just think more KY kids are not as serious about their soccer as are some of the ohio families.
  20. Many NKY kids choose to play for a dad coached KHSC Select team or NKSA team. Where in Cincy more kids play for a clubs top 2-3 teams with more of a professional environment.
  21. would like to see more NKY kids tryout for the KHA academy teams along with CUP, OE, CSA and play for professional coaches and in better training environments. Think it would help KY overall as a state.
